Introducing the IM System!

Ok as you may notice we have a new dark color-ed bar at the bottom of the forum. 

*ignore the ambrosia's web site thing*


That little bar is the key to MPL's new IM system. Basically, what we have now is this new feature where you can IM someone from the forum on the forum and have a simple and fun chat with that person. But you can only chat with people on your buddy list, which is done for the convenience of members who may not want to be disturbed by others. You can just go to someone's profile and hit "Add to Buddy List" to send a request and they will accept it at their own choosing.

Now our new IM system should make getting a hold of someone a lot easier. As you can see it's a small box so it doesnt take up the whole screen and you can hit the X to get rid of the box. Me and Vip are having a normal conversation as we would on AIM in a quick pace. This is also a good alternative for PMing someone. PMs can still be sent of course but you may find it easier to just IM them. To IM someone just hit Who's Online and look for the person's name.

Just a quick note that if you;re silly enough to have IE9 like HJ, you'll see the Chat Bar with Compatibility Off but the SMFPacks only works when Compatibility is on.

I think it's a great addition and way better than a shoutbox. When I saw it, I thought it was annoying, but tbh, it's not anymore and I can live with the bar on the bottom.
