Hyrule Warriors Legends

I'm very glad there's so much new content in this. Especially the Wind Waker content that the Wii U Hyrule Warriors was lacking. I love the Wind Waker so the more the merrier. I'd love to see some more Majora's Mask as well, current characters are fine but more would be fantastic (Especially if it was Happy Mask Saleman). I would just like to see a couple of Majora's Mask stages, Termina Field would be the most likely choice. I think the Owl Statues could be a hint at more Majora's Mask content but probably not, I'm being hopeful.

Helmaroc King was one of the best choices from Wind Waker for bosses, he fits right in with the other Zelda bosses. If they don't use the Skull Hammer for whatever reason, it would be interesting to see how his mask would be removed without the hammer.

I'm really hoping all the new content can be purchased in the Hyrule Warriors for Wii U without the need to buy Legends, sorry I just don't want to buy Legends as I have no interest in it and the Wii U version is going to get the new content as well.

The following info comes from a 4Gamer interview with Yosuke Hayashi, Producer of Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors Legends...

- many players in Japan and abroad told the developers they would really like to be able to play the game on their handheld
- there had already been several Zelda games DS/3DS, so this was an opportunity they couldn’t pass this request up
- Toon Link, Tetra and the King of Hyrule are unlockable in Hyrule Warriors via a serial code
- this is found in the box of Hyrule Warriors Legends
- Legends will get more additional characters to be revealed at a later date
- devs spent a lot of time fine tuning the game in order to display the right amount of enemies on screen,
- one way that helped was disabling the 3D on Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL and Nintendo 2DS
- New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL will be able to display stereoscopic 3D visuals
- team have plans to make Hyrule Warriors Legends compatible with amiibo
- amiibo will allow you to unlock extras
- all the DLC characters from Hyrule Warriors on Wii U will be in Hyrule Warrios Legends right from the start
- they will NOT be transferable
- they may create more DLC if there's demand for it
- no challenge mode
- the developers are done implementing everything they wanted to implement, and they’re currently working hard on balancing and polishing the game
Source

It's confirmed that there will be more characters, and there may be more DLC if there's demand for it. The only thing that the 3DS version DOES NOT have over the Wii U version is Challenge Mode. Therefore, you cannot play as Beast Ganon and Cucoo in the 3DS version. I wonder what does SirFrozenFrenzy thinks of all this...

Do you mean Fairy, Vip? Though That's Funny if it wasn't a mistake.

I like this new information. However, I'm not very happy about a serial code packaged with Legends. I hoped for an alternative of buying the characters if possible instead of needing Legends. I'd buy Legends if I have to, I really want to play as the King of Hyrule in Hyrule Warriors. I liked Ganon's Fury from the challenge mode and everything else in it, although the lack of challenge mode is not a devastating loss in my opinion. I wouldn't miss it that much. Maybe they have a Wind Waker themed Adventure Map that's very similar to the Great Sea map planned? Something like that would be great because of the sea chart.

I'm like how they may create more DLC if there's a demand for it. I'd like some more content a long time after release. More characters I would love to have playable.

I'm looking forward to the next additional character reveals.

Yeah, I meant Fairy. Sorry.

With more characters planned, it will be insteresting to see who will come out next, after Toon Link. Maybe Linkle is still up in the air, what with that bow in the artwork? Hopefully Medli can join in the fun, too. Her type would have to be Lightning, I'd take, since she has a harp. But the problem is, she would feel like another Sheik.

Perhaps another contender could be Groose from Skyward Sword. I hear a lot of people are hoping for him.

Oh I see, that's perfectly fine!

Linkle does sound like a possibility. They have featured her bow from the concept artwork in current artwork. Saying they are done implementing everything they wanted to implement, if they want to add her, she could happen. I'd prefer Medli more to give Wind Waker a little bit more representation. However, considering Sheik uses a harp that is of the electric element and can use all the other elements as well, Medli would be more difficult to include. I would really like to see her but I'm not entirely sure how she can work differently than Sheik. I guess using her wings in certain attacks and flying while still using her harp, there's some unique things they could so with her. Also having her harp using the water element could help with that.

I've seen Groose requested for Hyrule Warriors quite a bit. Skyward Sword is one of the few Zelda games I never played so I'm not sure what he can do. He seems to be a very popular character. He appears to have some potential as a great warrior.
