Hey guys, even though there hasn't been a non-staff promotion/demotion/resign topic here for a while, the staff has still been working to improve the forum, cause there's always room to improve. I just wanted to let everyone know about what we've been doing lately and things we are considering doing.
1- Clubs
One most people are already aware of is clubs. Check out the topics in the Club board for more info about the clubs.
2- Member of the Month
Starting with December most likely each month we are going to award one non-staff members for their contributions to the forum. The staff will serve as the panel and will decide the Member of the Month each time. We might even add reigning member of the month to the panel each month too.
3- Arcade Wednesdays
This is something I've wanted to do for a while but I never realized I had the ability to. Anyways, I've been given the power to add arcade games so every Wednesday I'm going to add an arcade game and we'll see who can get the highest score each time I add a game. I might add some games this weekend that I already have on my desktop so I'll tell everyone when I put them in.
4- Reward System for Veteran Members
A little something to show that we appreciate the vets of the forum, this will most likely go by posts. Like for example one idea we're throwing around is a 1K club, where we'll open up a club for all the members with over 1,000 posts. This is still being worked on.
5- 2010 Award Ceremony
Just like last year we once again plan to hold another award ceremony to look back at 2009. The staff is currently finalizing what we'll be doing so lookout for that in January 2011.
6- Best Member Tournament
Thanks to MattC, we're going to be running MPL's first BMT soon, sign-ups are just about completed so be on the lookout for any new updates about it.
7- Secret Santa
For the first time MPL will be doing a Secret Santa event, sign-ups are going until Friday afternoon so you still have a chance to sign up.
That's about it for now, but there's also more things going on the forum all the time as well. Check the Activities board to see what's going on with Mario Party Interactive (run by Sushi), the upcoming Mario Party Bingo (run by Chubbo), M.P.I.Q. Forum Style (run by Billy), and more. Also be on the lookout for a new newsletter soon. This is Cook with Fox 5 News, peace.
