First of all, Plum lied about actually having cancer, which is a totally different area than joking. He was FAKING it, like trying to persuade people he actually had it. That's different than saying "lol chemotherapy". So really, to all the MPL people (since nobody said that s*** here) calling me a hypocrite and such can maybe take the time to look in the dictionary and know the meaning between joking and lying.

I think this hurts your case more than it helps it. Plum was lying about cancer because of selfish reasons, but he had, at least to the best of our knowledge, no intention of poking fun at cancer. You blatantly made a joke about this tragedy. In my opinion, this far worse than what Plum did.

"Let's celebrate the terrorist attack that's killed thousands of people". Is what you're basically saying. I'm failing to see why that is considered a joke; mocking the dead isn't funny.

Plum lying about cancer was totally wrong, but at least he admitted it and apologized. He could have just carried on the lie but actually had the balls to tell the truth. The fact that you're carrying on like you think there's nothing socially wrong about this is very worrying. The reasons I can see you're saying this is acceptable is because it was "avoidable" (which is only a hypothesis) and because it wasn't as bad as Plums scenario, which in fact, isn't far off in my and many others opinions.

I actually find that you're on the same level as Plum, here because Plum lied about cancer because he was attention seeking, compared to you joking about 9/11 like the lives lost had no importance what so ever. At least most people with cancer have opportunity to say goodbye to their families, but the victims of 9/11 did not have this luxury.You obviously don't like people to lie or joke about something that's killed your family member, so don't joke about an event that's killed many others family members.

I honestly don't now what you were trying to achieve here, but the least you can do is admit you were wrong and apologize to Berry, jin and the families of 9/11. Otherwise you should get out.

First of all, that was basically the whole point of the topic, to mock the criticism of people bashing others for joking about a tragedy. Nobody seems to care if someone makes a Hindenburg joke, a Titanic joke, a Lockerbie joke, hell, even a Holocaust joke. I've seen a ton of jokes of the Holocaust spewed here and over on MPF throughout my tenure on these forums, and nobody seems to give a shit. But noooooo, 9/11 is so special.

As a matter of fact, Abraham Lincoln, one of the greatest presidents of the USA, had a very cynical and dark personality. His views on death were basically like mine. He starred it down like it was a pathetic creature. Yes, he did express sympathy toward Union losses, but guess what? HE GOT THE FUCK OVER IT AND STARTED TO LAUGH ABOUT IT. Only then can we truly feel better about ourselves. Let's not delve on the past just because you people can't let shit go. Nothing can bring back your loved ones.

Plum DID NOT admit to it. He lied about having cancer FOR MONTHS, and it wasn't until I made a topic in my Blog about it that he basically confessed. It took SOMEONE ELSE for him to come out of his pussy cave and say "yeah, I admit it". And as soon as he said that, he basically ran away, making him even more of a coward. I knew he was lying for ages, but decided to play along so one day he would admit it. He did not. I conclude that if I didn't make a topic calling him out, you all would still be gullible enough to believe he still has cancer.

Cancer can never be avoided. We all have it. It's just triggered by some force in the body yet undiscovered.

9/11 was a tragedy. It could have been avoided, but guess what? WE MOVE THE FUCK ON AND STOP DWELLING ON THE PAST.

*Ignoring the Plum scenario, you still can't say what you did was right. The point when a something offends people is the point where something can no longer be considered funny. Hitler jokes doesn't really mock anyone but Hitler himself, but certainly Titanic and Holocaust jokes are also wrong.

The reason why it's considered so bad is that this topic should've been respecting those that have been lost during the 9/11 attacks. You made an ENTIRE topic about a joke that a) wasn't even funny b) mocks pretty much all the families of all 9/11 victims. Worse yet, two weeks ago you were saying
