Game Developers Conference 2012

[Vipsoccermaster]

The Game Developers Conference for 2012 is coming up this week! What are you looking forward to in the gaming aspect? Are you looking forward to Nintendo 3DS news and Wii U news? Or gaming aspects from Sony and Microsoft?

Last year, Nintendo showed off Super Mario 3D Land. What will they show off this time?

[SuperZambezi]

Zelda 3DS. I already called it on the podcast. They showed both Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks at GDC, so I expect them to do the same this year.

And just to clarify, GDC is supposed to be for the developers themselves and not some big announcement show. We still get announcements though.

Yeah, I'm also hoping to see the new Zelda 3DS. As well as the Luigi's Mansion 2 and Paper Mario 3DS. Maybe Mario Tennis Open, but we'll see.

Mario Tennis Open, Luigi's Mansion 2 and Paper Mario are all I'm hoping to see.
Maybe The new 2D Mario Sidescroller if that was possible...

[Relxhive35]

is there live stream?

Oh yes, that, too. Even if it might be like past games.

is there live stream?

I'm not sure. Probably not, but you can check afterwards.

They are making Smash Bros. 3DS, it's just early in the development, though. They just started to work on it since Kid Icarus: Uprising is completed.

There's a topic on it too. Check out the 3DS Board.

[SuperZambezi]

Koichi Hayashida, director of Super Mario 3D Land, will give a talk on his work on Mario’s first 3DS outing, as well as the effect and use of 3D in games.

Game Developers Conference for 2013 will be held late March 2013, rather than the usual early March.
