Freedom Planet Coming to the Wii U

The creator of Freedom Planet Stephen Diduro recently said on his Twitter that Freedom Planet is getting a port for the Wii U: https://twitter.com/galaxytrail/status/574715009755910144. I'm pretty excited for this game because It's a throwback to the classic 2D Sonic games with multiple characters and it plays and looks like a Genesis game. I never used Steam but I'm glad it's getting a Wii U port!

Heh, even the level designs are similar to Sonic's levels back then. Don't usually buy indie games, but I might give this a shot.

Update: It's confirmed to be released on August 3rd, 2015. Also right now you can download the preview demo from on of Nintendo's Indie demos and you get a 15% discount once you've played it. Definitely check it out on the Eshop for the demo because it's awesome!
