I personally prefer Forza because of the cars feel real, but GT is better in terms of gameplay. I wonder what Turn 10 could come up with if they had five years instead of just two

If I had to pick, probably GT5 since my friend have it.

I'd go with Forza. I wasn't that much into GT when I was younger, so I tried Forza and decided to stick with it.
Wasn't GT5 the most expensive racing simulator and supposed to be the greatest one ever made?

Forza has more consistency with its Car Models, meaning that all of them have a good amount of detail with actual interiors and all that.
GT5 has better graphics but only around 200 of its claimed 1000 cars actually have the full interiors, great detail, etc. The rest are mostly carry-over models from previous GT games. I never tried out GT5 myself and would like to.

I think that Gran Turismo 5 has inadvertently set Turn 10 up for MASSIVE profits this fall. With it being such a huge letdown, all those simulation racer fanatics will sell their PS3s and go back to the Xbox 360 for Forza 4. If you read the official Forza forums, you'll find that a lot of those people buy entire consoles just so they can play one game
