This is my favorite FF ever. Good storyline, nice system featuring Guardian Force and awesome limits, and some of my favorite nostalgia from the various silent CGI scenes.

It definitely expanded from the generic "4 warriors, 4 crystal" stories from the earlier installments, plus the bland "Magic" storyline in VI.
I thought VIII's story was droll.
