I know we have a FF Board, but I don't think putting it in the Lodge would get it any posts soooooo. Plus, there be new members here. Anybody play the Final Fantasy series? I adore the series a lot, except for some of the games as of late. I own I, II (A fan made cartridge I got from the retro game place I used to work at), IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, X-II, XII, and XIII. I also have a few spin-offs such as all the Kingdom Hearts games, Mystic Quest, Crystal Chronicles, Chocobo's Quest, and Type 0.

My favorite FF installment is VIII, but XII is a close second. I loved the new Quickenings system and the throwback to kind of the steampunk/ancient ruins style used in previous installments. VIII is just a beastly game. The Draw system was very clever, story was awesome, and Rinoa/Zell were some pretty cool characters. I just wish they didn't make Squall so similar to Cloud Strife.

X-2 is the worst FF spinoff game lol. Probably even worse than Dirge of Cerberus.

I own I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, X-2, XII, XIII, XIII-2, Dirge of Cerebus FF VII, and VII Crisis Core. I bought some of them last year, but haven't really played them yet. I have played part of VIII and it was superb, last time I played was about 5-6 years ago and I was on the train, for what I remember. I completed X last year and I also thought it was great, with the battles and story. I haven't gotten far on X-2, mainly because I got bored quickly and it's not as good, but I was trying to sell tickets last time. I have played some VII years ago, but only for a few minutes to try it out, but it was a friends.

I have been meaning to start playing them, but I've been pretty busy since last year so I really haven't touched them. I plan on at least start playing them soon, within the next few months.

I've completed all of them with the exception of II, V, X, and XII. X and XII are my top games that I want to beat before I go to college.

Getting the job promotion as in having your Monk evolve into a Ninja? That's pretty easy. All you have to do is visit Bahamut in the Dragon Islands. :p

I've played I, XIII and a demo of XIII-2.

That's it.

Not a fan of Final Fantasy.

I think the Trials are optional in the NES version. I don't remember, since last time I played the Origins version and I had to do the Trials but never recalled doing it in the original.
