It's Crap.

This is a Hollywood myth. Jack Palance correctly announced Marisa's name as Best Supporting Actress for her role in the 1992 film My Cousin Vinny. The allegation has been officially denied by the Academy, but myths don't die; they blend with the truth!

It's Crap.

Not only is this crap, but it also seems that the Bee Gees were entirely apolitical. They did support a number of worthy charities and causes, but they managed to successfully avoid the "Jive Talkin'" politicians.

The activated alarms caused a chain of events that led to nuclear armed F-106A Interceptors taking off. The mistake was discovered just in time, and the planes returned to base averting World War III. Thankfully it was only a bear and not Russian saboteurs.
