Energy Saving Light Bulbs

Does anyone have any Energy Saving Light Bulbs in their house? Opinions?

We have a few because they're cheaper to run long-term (due to being long-lasting and because of their Eco-friendly features), and they help save the environment (even if it is by the tiniest margin ). Though, when my house tries to preserve electric, we primerily do it just to save on the electricity bill.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't those radiate UV rays of some sort? I think we may have had some before, but we have all normal bulbs at the moment.

Throughout my entire home, there's only 1 of these that I could find.

I do turn off the lights to save power whenever I get the chance, though, so that should still count.
