Eliminate Important Features?

ok, in a normal game we play with coins and stars, if there could be a way to only play with coins and no stars... so a coin battle, like in mario kart wii. but you can only play WITHOUT stars, so the way to win is by minigames, blue spaces, ect...

and the bonus stars: the bonus stars will stay but instead of a star you get 20 coins, so if i sweeped the bonus stars i would get an extra 60 coins.

Get it? if you dont just tell me and ill explane it a bit better

Well, it'd be weird, the players will just aim for the highest coins, so in this way, no one would want to buy anything, so this is useless unless if it has stars or something. Having it just coins is almost like what I stated before.
