I'm gonna have to agree with Snowy on his opinion with Mother 1; the game is super vague and it felt more like Pokemon b/c with how frequent the battles were, I thought I was in tall grass throughout the majority of the game.
Honestly I was more irritated than pleased with it. :/
In general, if I had to rate the Mother games, it'd be 3 >> 2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 1. The former 2 felt far more magical and even though I got really irritated with Status effects in Earthbound and some parts were vague (I really have to sleep at a hotel to progress?), they were much more enjoyable.
I was hoping for a Mother 3 release here instead lol. Oh well, nothing I can do. =P

You have a glaring contradiction in that statement. That's like saying one punches another in the face and then the another punches him back and all of the sudden another is in the wrong when one initiated the event.
