Donkey Kong franchise

So where exactly does the DK franchise go after Donkey Kong Country returns? Do you think we'll see another installment of past series such as DK vs Mario: March of the Minis, another DK Country, or something new? I'm not sure how many people saw DKCR coming at E3 so you never know.

Erm, I don't think one is happening for this year's E3, since we recently had DKCR. I don't think we'll see anything related to Donkey Kong. Maybe just a trailer or something, but that's it.

Yeah I'd be cool to have another 3D Donkey Kong unlike the 2.5 3D platforming. I'd like to see another Donkey Kong Racing since there was supposed to be one on the GCN but they abandoned it due to Rare...

I don't think there will be anything this year (or at least not a release this year) but I would say because of the success of DKCR, there would be no doubt a sequel/DKCR2 at one point. Using remixes for DKC2 for the game (since the DKCR just mainly had DKC remixes with a few exceptions).

If anything is announced this year I would expect it to be for the 3DS (a Mario vs DK type thing or maybe even a compilation of the DKC series on one cartridge in 3D?)

They have no need for anymore Donkey Kong...for now.

But I could care less really...I never got into liking the Donkey Kong series.

Donkey Kong is pretty much my favorite video game franchise. Personally I hope they do a remake of Donkey Kong 64, either for 3DS or Wii U (I was thinking 3DS.) However, I was kind of let down by Donkey Kong Country Returns, what with its lack of familiar characters and all. DK, Diddy, Cranky, Squawks and Rambi were the only returning characters!

Anyway, I guess it's somewhat expected that DK didn't get a title announced this year @E3, but yeah, I'd keep the hope up since I really want another 3D DK in the future (like Aegis, Dolly etc.)
