Your PS1, does it still work?

Mine barely works... I can put a game like Bust a Groove or Twisted Metal 2 in the system, and the cutscenes will take SO LONG to load, it will go so slow, and sometimes just freeze and I'll have to reset it. Thank God I got a PS2, it loads everything fine, and I don't have to worry about constant freezing. XD

My PS1 died about a decade ago; It quit spinning discs. I've also had an original PS2 that also suffered the same fate. My slim PS2, which I've had for about 4-5 years, is still running like new with no problems, thankfully.

I see a whole bunch of PS1's in thrift stores, but they're worthless to me.

You might wanna redo your math. The NES came out in 1985 (Famicom being 1983).
