Does Anybody Know What The Heck Happened to MBF?

I have no idea what happened. Before it was down, we had theme problems and a few members like MLYW, Snowy, and Zig were locked out. Then, Simple Machine Forums (SMF) was unable to connect to the database. I emailed Joey about MBF twice, but no reply. And now, the webpage cannot be found. I get the 404 error. Today is the 6th day of the forum down, consecutively.
I don't know what MBF is but I bet if I did I'd be awful sad and have to assume that this "Joey" person just stopped paying for it as he sounds like the kind of guy who checks his email frequently.
Maybe they finally just stopped.. I mean it was going downhill and maybe someone just set it off
I jus came back from vacation so I have no idea what's up. The only thing I notice is that on top of the tab it says MBF instead of Mario Bros Forum.
I swear I have been moping around my house doing nothing ever since MBF went down.

I find this a bit weird.
When Joey discontinued NC, he gave it to TradeDemon or whoever. Why doesnt he just give the forum to HuntMac or someone.

If you didn't read the shoutbox a couple of days ago the same thing happened here for 10 minutes.

He just closed it down? Or was it because the SMF server?
Since this place was down for the server also....was it discontinued for a small period?
