If I used my phone in class, I would probably get kicked out of the classroom unless I was called over an emergency. Fortunately, I never receive calls on my phone, and I've no need for it in class anyway; I use a computer to talk and take notes.
Furthermore, I never text. Texting feels much, much slower than simply typing on a keyboard (speaking of which, I need to get a non-QWERTY keyboard to improve my typing speed).
What sort of keyboard would you be using Viboolin?

I use my phone only really to answer texts that are for organizing tutes and other clinical activities. Sadly it's a culture that is expected on the wards /:

I use a QWERTY keyboard on my laptop. It's built into the frame, and I've never minded it.
I heard that, last week, there's another kind of keyboard that allows you to type much faster. The QWERTY keyboard was actually designed to slow down typing in the days of typewriters because some people typed so fast, the strings used in the typewriters would get tangled and cause them to malfunction. We only use QWERTY keyboards more often than other models because that's what most are used to, meaning it's more user-friendly and does not have to be relearned.

Of course, I peck-type, but I'm certain my typing speed would increase with a different keyboard nonetheless.

You would prefer another method(email, maybe?)?

Or to not be in contact with others at all?

Or do you just hate the fact it's "expected"?
No it's more that doctors who do it just end up being distracted from clinical care of patients. Their reasons are for patient referrals so it's understandable, it's just... Not the best look from a patient's pov
