Its got me hooked. Very emotional and probably the best video game trailer I have seen. Its been in development for quite sometime and was even announced in 2007. What do you guys think?

I don't see myself getting it, though. Maybe a rent for Xbox 360, but meh, I'm not a fan of shooters.

September 9 is the worldwide release. NA gets it today.

Can't argue with that. I believe it was IGN that described the game as "Fallout with zombies".

I bought the game during the Steam Winter sale and I have been playing it since. It's a weird transition going from The Walking Dead game to Dead Island, but I like Dead Island for different reasons than why I liked the Walking Dead.

I'm trying to do as many sidequests as I can before moving the main story along. I just got into Act II. Who else has played/is playing?

I played it on PS3. The matchmaking was abysmal and everyone I was paired with was a hacker/cheater.

But the game was fun.

Somewhat spoilers about game length, but there are four Acts, and before you move onto the fourth one, they tell you that you cannot go back to the 3 areas of the first three acts. Since there are a ton of sidequests, that's what I'll be doing before I finish the game. I might just 100% this (at least the quest portion).

The game has a lot of problems, but I'm still having a ton off fun roaming around, doing random fetch quests, exploring the land, and knocking zombies down left and right.
