No. It tastes no better then it unfrozen.

Frozen yogurt tastes totally different than just yogurt.

They just opened a self-serve TCBY near my house so me & my boyfriend have been a few times. Its pretty good, you can't really taste the difference between it and ice cream with most flavors.

Frozen yogurt must be going through a fad period right now though. There are 4 froyo places in a small stretch downtown here, most of which have opened in the last 6 months or so. Before frozen yogurt, cupcakes were the big thing but now most of those places have closed. Froyo was pretty big in the 90s for a while too, so I guess its making a comeback.

There's one on King (I think) Street that's pretty good. It has a bunch of self serve things and then toppings.

I think I know the one you're talking about. It has Mountain in the name. I've never been there. There's also one on a side street of King (can't remember which...maybe George?) called Fresh Berry that looks good. And there's a TCBY somewhere around King & some other place I can't remember. Its kind of ridiculous really, but I guess if they all do decent business, why not?

The self-serve TCBY at Towne Centre has tons of toppings, which is the best part. And its all self serve, so you can put as much on as you want, unlike most ice cream places.

Once again, you do realize that frozen yogurt is not just yogurt that has been frozen, right?

It's basically just ice cream, but less fatty. Tastes very similar to me.

Seriously, this is why I find this forum so ridiculously frustrating at times and why the conversations here suck. If people actually read the posts, then you wouldn't have 2 people come along and say the exact same thing that someone had already said & been corrected on earlier. All the topics here are like that. Nobody is actually discussing anything, they just read the title & post.

And before someone else clueless posts, its not about not knowing that frozen yogurt isn't the same as yogurt (so I have no issue with kingboo's post). Its the fact that a lot of people here lack common sense, reading comprehension & the ability to be members of a good forum.

I've never had frozen yogurt before so I can't say whether I like it or not, so imma go with other. I've never come close to having it really.

It's basically the same, it's yogurt with the texture of Ice Cream. I remember when I saw a commercial on TV of it, it was a little girl in an igloo with a yogurt. She made it froze with only putting it outside... I think it was that Dino yogurt, lol. I had it once. I putted my yogurt in a fridge, then took a pogo stick and when it was frozen, I took it. It was good, personally I think yogurt is better that way.
