Since there's no complain topic I'll make one. I would PM but I wanna make it public so everyone can hear with I'm saying and add suggestions and whatever. But my problem is the staff just doesn't do their job well. There are always topics that need to be moved but no one does it until someone complains. And there's no excuse since Vip is on the forum all day. They don't do a good job moderating when it comes to tolerance on spam and in general dumb posts.
This is why I really respect what Aegis is doing here, because he's doing the best job you could ask for with the boards he had, you can tell which boards he moderates because it's the ones that are managed well.
This is basically what was said on MPF. So I'll just raise the topic here so maybe something can actually get about it. Some people on the staff just aren't cut for it, no offense. Like I think kingboo is an alright person, but I don't think he's cut as a moderator. I would never make him a mod on a site I ran because he just isn't cut. Neither is BerryLarry, a lot of people complain about him and even the staff themselves have questioned how the hell he became a mod. The only thing he's been doing is trolling the shoutbox, he needs to learn his limits, just cause you moderate the MP boards doesn't mean you run the shoutbox. They'll make you a G-Mod if they wanted you to do that.
And there are some worthy people out there for moderating positions, even though it's only a few people. Tovarisch (Comrade Kramly or whatever here) used to be a great moderator on the old forum and is capable of doing a better job than BerryLarry, kingboo, or yoshi1 who are all current mods not really doing a good job. Even N64_Thwomp or Kintetic, both more newer members, they've been here for a little bit now and I think it'd be smart to make them moderators over those 3 I mentioned. You can't just pick members because they don't get banned and have been here for a year, that doesn't mean they're gonna do a good job moderating. I understand you need to take chances sometimes, like on Marioguy who developed into a respectable staff member, but you can't just take chances because it makes the forum look like a joke.
Seriously, why in the world would you archive the Member Rankings topic? I went to look for it to check the rankings only to find it in the safe (and still sticked, you guys need to unsticky topics in the safe)... I'm not trying to flame the site and troll or whatever which is what SZ used to think and what some of you more...immature members might think, I'm trying to make a statement for the site to improve because it's current state is a joke unless you're 8 years old.
This site needs to reconstruct it's staff if it wants to be respectable, for a start. I know it's hard to kick people off the staff, but you need to do it for the better of the site. If they're smart they'll understand it's for the better of the forum and not have such a sour attitude. People like Tovarisch are great candidates waiting to be picked. But I'm considering leaving this forum because it's so horribly managed, but I really don't wanna leave and would love to see a reform that would make me want to stay here. But if nothing gets done here like it's been for...forever, I'll just leave. I have no problem leaving a forum that is horribly managed and is full of spam. So let's get something done here, now rather than later please.
