Ffff-yes, a thread for this game. ;D
"BlazBlue this, BlazBlue that. It's got a cool roster and deep gameplay system and stuff."
Up until just recently I had been like "looks cool, though I'll get this if I've got nothing else to get". But out of sheer interest towards the series I decided to hope the limited edition of Continuum Shift for a christmas present. I got what I wanted and slowly but surely I have got more into this and started liked this more.
From 14 characters it was a bit tough to find a character that would be appealing to me enough gameplay wise. I didn't want to be another Ragna player out there, but I didn't feel the connection people do with their mains in any fighting games.
So when I vs'd the only offline friend I play anything more often than once in two years, I picked Hakumen. 6C. Now, it was that move which caused good damage and went through nearly everytime. And every time Hakumen was picked, whoever picked him would win afterwards.
Later I wanted to learn more than just 6C and what kinds of cool stuff I could possibly get off that move. I ended up maining Hakumen. He is awesome. And this game's cool beans. The amount of content is quite good compared to what I have seen in Tekken 6 and Tatsunoko vs Capcom for example, although all those story modes and other stuff aren't how I decide on a good fighting game.
Well I was surprised by all those tutorials that even explain some basic fundamentals of (2D) fighting to those new to fighting games. Definetly a plus. Haven't regretted hoping this game one bit.
