I just finished reading this graphic novel, so I figured "why not make a post on it." If you haven't read it, it is a graphic novel about two kids, the older sister Emily and her younger brother Navin who move with their Mom (their dad died in a car accident many years before) do their grandfathers old house. While there, Emily finds an amulet, which she thinks is just a normal necklace, but really has magical powers. Of coarse, being stereotypical, the very old house is haunted, the Mom get's captured by a weird octopus thing, and Emily and Navin go on a quest to save their mother. I know it sounds real cheesy, but it is pretty good. This is the first book in the "Amulet" graphic novel series and I am planning on reading the others soon. It is very short since it is a graphic novel, but I can suggest it since it is a nice action adventure book, and feels like it deserves to be a movie or even a video game.
