Hey, there’s no car and the boards aren’t linear! I’m happy as hell! I just hope in Minigame mode we can pick from whatever Mario characters we want, instead of being limited to Toads.

Also, not a requirement for me, but online mode would be nice.

It’s been confirmed in the stream that in other modes you’re not restricted to Toads 😛

“you recruited donkey” lol whut

Looks better than 10 and IT, and exciting on its own. I’ll see if I can pick this one up!

Ok so faster pace, interesting boards, although I feel like I need to see more modes in order to make a choice.

Pleasantly surprised and excited to try this one. Having people compete to recruit their favorite Mario characters might just end up making things more competitive than trying to get the most stars!

It comes close, but no. The main satisfaction from the original games is screwing over your soon-to-be enemies. That’s why the new Mario Party games suck. The car gimmick makes everyone work together with the real superpower of teamwork. That’s not fun. Messing with people: that’s fun.

This game’s so weird, almost like a spin-off of the Mario Party series than a actual Mario Party game.
We really need a demo or something to try that out (y)

tbh MPA is more of a Mario Party spinoff because that game strips off most of what is Mario Party :p

And I liked MPA so I might like Star Rush as well?

But isn’t the Mario Party series a spinoff?

I love how everyone’s trashing the obviously far superior Color Splash for simply not being like a past entry in the series, and then they praise this obvious downward spiral for not being like a past entry in the series.

how is it a downward spiral?
