About 1.5 years ago, Nintendo released an app for Photos with Mario and Mario AR cards in North America. The application has made its way to the Nintendo 3DS eShop in Europe. Europeans can download it for free.

In addition to this, you can also buy the Luigi (15 Euros/Pounds), Mario (25 Euros/Pounds), and Bowser (50 Euros/Pounds) AR cards.
For those of you in the United States, you can buy the Koopa Troopa, Luigi, and Bowser AR cards for only $10 each. The cards are reportedly to be making way to retailers, so keep checking back if you can’t find them.
As of now, there are no plans for the application to be released in Canada or Australia.
