Photos With Mario Now Available In North America!

Update: Looks like the app is not up in Canada yet. Let us know if you also can’t find it in your eShop!

Last year, Nintendo released an app for Photos with Mario and Mario AR cards in Japan. A lot of people speculated that this app will never come to regions outside of Japan, but thankfully, this is not the case. It has made its way to the Nintendo 3DS eShop in North America. Search for “photos mario” in the search bar on the eShop page to find it. You can download it for free, and it will take up to around 65 blocks of space.

In addition to this, you can also buy the Mario, Princess Peach, and Goomba AR cards for only $10, exclusively at Target stores.

Will you be downloading this free application and take photos with Mario?

I found it by searching “Photos” since it wasn’t on the main page or new arrivals. I’ll update the post if you’ve tried this too.

Nope, I imagine the cards will not be sold in Canada, like the NFC figures for Pokemon Rumble.

Updated. Wonder if it’s just Canada excluded or just US that has it. I’m sure it’ll be up soon.

I hope this come’s to Australia. What’s with the delay to the West, and it was released on the day of my 17th birthday in Japan.

No!!! I’ve been waiting for this for soooo long! WHY NO CANADA?!? I still need to buy a new SD card anyway. Plus, I had no idea there was a store named after something you shoot arrows at in existence. …UGH! IDK if I passed by a black cat or something, but this is SERIOUS OVERKILL! Maybe it was a really big cat? Or maybe there were multiple cats!?!
Long story short: It isn’t in my Canadian e-shop either. XS

“The page for this game on the North American Nintendo eShop erroneously shows the release date as being “07/09/1981″, the release date for the arcade version of Donkey Kong.” I got this from the Mario Wikipedia. I’m guessing that this is a hint that there will be another set of these cards and one of them will be Donkey Kong coming in July 9th, or somewhere around that.
