There is going to be one less Mario game this holiday season, at least in Europe, as Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker has been delayed. The shift is a small but noticeable one going from Holiday 2014 to January 2015. The news was announced in Nintendo’s latest financial report. This is a huge setback for Nintendo’s holiday release schedule which will have to rely on Super Smash Bros. for Wii U to anchor this important time for them. While Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker was not likely to be a system seller it still was a big release for Nintendo.

Other territories are still currently set for Holiday 2014. Hopefully for Wii U owners it will stay this way since the Holiday line-up is far from stacked. Mario Party Legacy will follow this story and will update it if other territories become affected.
