Mario Party: Island Tour Delayed to Early 2014

Nintendo has sent out a press release detailing a delay for Mario Party: Island Tour. Europe is expected to receive the game early in 2014. While this has only been confirmed for Europe, the game was slated for release this November in all territories. We will update when we get news for other regions. You can see the official statement below:

Mario Party: Island Tour: Not announced in this latest Nintendo Direct, but in order to deliver the optimum gaming experience for fans, Mario Party: Island Tour will now launch in early 2014.

Yeah I had feared this since they haven’t mentioned it at all really in the past few months, but hopefully that will give them more time to make more awesome boards, minigames, and maybe a minigame island/adventure like from the first 2 games?~

Haha I doubt it but a nintendo fan can wish!

I think it might move to early 2014 in North America since it was not even talked about toady.

i think Japan might not get it this year, but in 2014, so that means that the only territory to get this game in 2013 is North America.

Glad I don’t have to worry anymore about buying Mario Party and Super Mario 3D World AND A Link Between Worlds all on the same day.

I was pretty much in the same position. And also since I’m planning on getting Ace Attorney as well (even if it is releasing before November) it would hurt my wallet a fair bit had I got Link Between Worlds, MPIT AND AA:DD all together. :p

Just got an email from Ninty AUS confirming the delay. Obviously this doesn’t confirm anything for the NTSC zone, but I wouldn’t be too hopeful for 2013 release based on this wording:
“Mario Party: Island Tour: Not announced in this latest Nintendo Direct, but in order to deliver the optimum gaming experience for fans, Mario Party: Island Tour will now launch in early 2014.”

I was ever so intending on getting this for Christmas. There’s already Boxart confirmed.

If it affects Australia as well, then we should do a Give Away from an American to send me a copy.

G’luck with that mate from Down Under. :p I’m happy waiting the delay out if it’s a single region delay (which is unlikely for 2 months given current release trends). Also how do you expect to play the game if the region’s wrong? :p

I wouldn’t consider it a confirmation unless actual reliable sources say it is.
You didn’t notice the giveaway on the site? :\
AAAAAND as I said elsewhere, have fun playing a NTSC version of the game on your PAL system.
