Is hope for Mario Party 9 dead?

All I could say, is that Wii Party is NOT a Mario Party killer. One of my friends imported the game, and we played it today. The island board is all luck based, even though I won the first time playing. XD the minigames are in some cases really good, but in others it's so short and boring. Like one of them you have to take one pic of a UFO flying around, and you only get one chance to get it as near to the middle as possible. And you can't even chose the Mii's you want to play against, you face off with staff-created Mii's. They don't even have voices eather. Though, the Globe board is really fun. ;) But after playing it for 3 hours, I can tell you that it's not a Mario Party Killer. Hopes for another Mario Party shouldn't be given up just yet.
 
Maybe they taking a few years to work on it (because they used to release a mario party every year almost) If they take Three or Four years to make this it could be the best Mario party yet (Because they will work hard on the Mini-games,Board,Wi-fi (Hopes) and other stuff. That's why more developing time=better game:)

I'm not 100% sure if it'll come out but if it does let's just say nintendo better not overdo it there might still be MP10 Which might be the best game of all(IF MP9 Ever comes out first)
 
-MP9 shall not be dead come on guy's we can put it like the most popular Mario party games like some mini games from mp4 and mp5 and some board games from mp5 and 6 lets put a mike in MP9 like MP6 quiz MP shall never and i mean never die

srsly why does everyone want retro stuff just for MP9?it's not gonna be the last/best MP so no retro stuff til' MP10 but most hope IS lost the last hope is nintendo's special surpise or else it's goodbye MP series...
 
If they returned to the style they executed in MP 1-3, then I would definitely buy this.

However, newf**s will probably BAAAWWWW that it returned to this style, but idc.

I still think the series is dead and gone though. MP 6-8 did not sell well AT ALL.
 
Wow Maria, do you honestly think the newer ones are better than the old ones? The old ones were the BOMB, the boards were fun and the mini-games were awesome. The new Mario Parties are just not creative, and if THAT's how the Mario Party 10 will be, then it will not be the best for last, it'll just be crap like other 3 (4).

Besides, I think more gamers would get the old ones instead of the new ones, since playing the old Mario Parties is actually cool. =P
