Overlook Mountain Toad Locations
Below are all 36 Toads found in Overlook Mountain:
Toad #1: Don’t fool yourself into thinking it’s just a sign at the base of the mountain, give it a whack to reveal a Toad.
Toad #2: From the entrance, go left and look for a chest. There’s a crumpled Toad hiding in the tall grass near the chest.
Toad #3: Use the blue roof to reach the crumpled Toad on the other side.
Toads #4-6: Watch as three grasshoppers move about the bushes. Watch their individual patterns and try to predict where they’ll land. Hit all three to rescue three Toads.
Toad #7: Near the grasshoppers is a bug crawling about. Yup, you guessed it, it’s another Toad.
Toad #8: Destroy the rock near the red warp pipe to uncover a Toad.
Toad #9: Walk behind the bushes between the two trees near the red warp pipe to find a ledge with a crumpled Toad.
Toad #10: After crossing the bridge, don’t follow the path and instead wrap around the cliff where another hole rests. Fill it up, then whack the wall twice to bring down the Toad.
Toads #11-15: From the Save Block, move down the steps and pluck all five Toads out of the ground.
Toad #16: While fishing at the pier, look for a fish with an origami shaped body. Reel it in and whack it to reveal a Toad.
Toad #17: After taking out the Thwomps with a Super Star, turn left and follow the path to a crumpled Toad.
Toad #18-27: To the left of the mountain tramway station are a few steps on the path. Walk behind the steps to enter an area where you can find a stack of ten Toads. Just pull them apart and set them free!
Toad #28: Whack the back of the sign near the tower at the top to reveal a crumpled Toad.
Toad #29: Before you head into the sports park with the two Shy Guys, take a right and jump behind the farthest bush to reveal a grasshopper Toad.
Toad #30: After you walk down the path from the top of the mountain, look for an opening in the white fence along the edge of the cliff. Drop down to find a block on a ledge. Contains a Toad!
Toad #31: At the sports park, stand in the middle of the green circle to put an end to the mean little game the Shy Guys are playing at the expense of the crumpled Toad. They aren’t too enthused you rescued the Toad so get ready for a fight.
Toads #32-34: Defeat the three Paper Macho Shy Guys in the Sports Park to rescue this trio of Toads.
Toad #35: Defeat the Goomba harassing the Toad near the red warp pipe. Only available after defeating the Earth Vellumental.
Toad #36: After you defeat Colored Pencils and remove the red streamer, go to the mountain tramway station and jump underneath the right flower box to release a crumpled Toad.
Overlook Mountain Not-Bottomless Hole Locations
Below are all 19 Holes found in Overlook Mountain:
Hole 1: Right at the base of the mountain, you can’t miss it when you first enter.
Hole 2: The area with the blue roof has a bench underneath it. Fill in the hole to restore the health gifting bench.
Hole 3: Use the blue roof to reach the hole on the other side.
Hole 4: On the main path next to the grasshopper Toads.
Hole 5: To the left of the Monty Mole auction is a hole on the wall.
Hole 6: Patch up the broken part of the tree near the red warp pipe.
Hole 7: This one is one the ground near the red warp pipe.
Hole 8: Walk behind the bushes between the two trees near the red warp pipe to find a ledge with a crumpled Toad and a hole.
Hole 9: On a wall just after the white bridge.
Hole 10: After crossing the bridge, don’t follow the path and instead wrap around the cliff where another hole rests.
Hole 11: To the right of the Save Block is a hole in need of repair on the steps.
Hole 12: After you pluck the five Toads, walk down the path behind the white fence and you’ll see your hole below a block.
Hole 13: Near the pier where you go fishing, wrap around the left side of the area to find a chest and hole in need of filling.
Hole 14: After taking out the Thwomps with a Super Star, turn left and patch up the hole in the wall.
Hole 15: A second hole can be found just after the log spikes.
Hole 16: A third hole rests at the end of the path, this time below a block.
Hole 17: Fill in the hole to the left of the mountain tramway sign.
Hole 18: There’s a big ol’ hole in the wall as you reach the top of the mountain. Make sure to pass it first so you don’t get ambushed by the three Spiny enemies dropping in from above.
Hole 19: After you defeat Colored Pencils and remove the red streamer, go to the mountain tramway station and fill in the hole in the stairs.
Overlook Mountain Collectible Treasure Locations
Below are all five Collectible Treasures found in Overlook Mountain:
Collectible Treasure #17: From the entrance, follow the path to the left until you reach a chest. Be wary of the folded Shy Guys above.
Collectible Treasure #18: To the left of the Monty Mole auction is a secret tunnel that leads to a chest.
Collectible Treasure #19: Near the pier where you go fishing, wrap around the left side of the area to find a chest and hole in need of filling.
Collectible Treasure #20: While fishing, look out for a Cheep Cheep with a golden shine to it. Catch it to find out it’s actually a collectible treasure.
Collectible Treasure #21: In the area with the three giant Paper Macho Shy Guys playing keep away with the last Shell Stone, walk through the hole in the white fence on the south end to find a chest.
Overlook Mountain Block Locations
Below are all nine Blocks found in Overlook Mountain:
Block #1: Near the entrance and In plain sight. Contains Iron Boots.
Block #2: Jump on top of the blue roof and jump at the center to find a hidden block holding Iron Boots.
Block #3: Use the blue roof to reach the block above the hole on the other side. Fire Flower is found inside.
Block #4: In the back of the area with the three grasshopper Toads.
Block #5: After you pluck the five Toads, walk down the path behind the white fence and you’ll see your a hole with a block above it. 100-Coin inside.
Block #6: After taking out the Thwomps with a Super Star, turn right and follow the lower path to a hole and a block with a 100-Coin inside.
Block #7: This block containing a 100-Coin can be found in front of the stairs to the left of the mountain tramway sign.
Block #8: Before you head into the sports park with the two Shy Guys, take a right and follow the path to a block holding a Coin Bag. Keep an eye on the Shy Guy that tries to follow you down there.
Block #9: Near the previous block is an opening in the white fence along the edge of the cliff. Drop down to find a block on a ledge. Contains a Toad!
