Breezy Tunnel – Paper Mario: The Origami King Walkthrough

What a sad time. After the events of The Princess Peach, make your way inside Breezy Tunnel. Time to find Olivia. Ignore the Monty Mole on the left and follow the railroad tracks to a blocked door. Break the rocks to reveal a magic circle you can use to rip the bottom portion of the door off. Unfortunately you need Olivia to use your 1000-Fold Arms…

Go past the Monty Mole and enter the mining operation for Monty Moles. Hit the round light colored rocks on the wall to get 100-Coins. Nothing in the first room along the path. Walk all the way left and pull out the Monty Mole from the hole. Ignore his plea to stop and do it two more times to get a Gold Hammer.

Enter the leftmost room. Climb up the logs on the right and whack the upright log down to the ground. Hit the hole in the wall, then jump in and walk around to the chest.

Once outside, walk over to the steps and look for a crack in the wall. Smash it, then walk through it to the chest. Now on the second floor of the Monty Mole mining area, look for the block next to the campfire. Inside is a Coin Bag.

Get up to the third floor through the cave on the right. The room on the right is shop where you can buy a few shiny items along with a small Accessories shop. Treasure Alert is on sale for 8,000 coins! Walk through the last door on the third floor to find Olivia in a dark room.

Olivia is clouded with sadness. Sit with her on the log for a bit, then exit the room. And just like that, all the Monty Moles have disappeared.

Walk back to the start of the mine to find the Monty Moles have moved the rubble from the boulder inside. Check inside to fight ghost Bobby! He tells you he knows Olivia is going through a rough time and to make her laugh. Goomba Mask anyone? Return to Olivia and throw on the Goomba Mask to cheer her up.

Return to the magic circle and break open the door. Walk through and pull the Toad out from under the Boot Car. A quick rundown of the car and the Boot Whistle used to summon the boot in the desert is yours! Hop in the car and get ready to ride. Control Stick to steer, ZR to boost.

You can’t boost in the cave. You’re also not invincible to enemies unless you’ve built enough speed to boost. Defeating the Spiny up ahead will earn you Flashy Boots and so will the Buzzy Beetle. Destroy the wooden crates on the left, then whack the hole to get a Coin Bag.

See that shovel? Yeah, not a shovel. It’s a Toad, so give it a whack. Exit the cave to enter the Scorching Sandpaper Desert.
