Our Mario Party boards page features images of all boards along with tips and strategies for every board and any unlockables.

The original Mario Party hosts the first eight boards in the entire series. Although the price for a Star is always 20 coins, the method of collecting each Star is a bit different from board to board. DK’s Jungle Adventure

DK’s Jungle Adventure is unlocked from the start and features a rotating star spot. The main gimmicks include three Whomp tolls and a rolling boulder that sends players back to the start.

Tips and Strategies

  • If you’re in dire need for coins or want to farm for Coin Star, use the bottom-right section of the board! Lots of blue spaces and an easy 10 coin gift from Koopa.  ~ Spongyoshi

Peach’s Birthday Cake

Peach’s Birthday Cake is unlocked from the start and features a stationary star spot in the middle of the board. The main gimmicks include plantable Piranha Plants that can steal stars and a Flower lottery that may send you down a separate path to Bowser.

Yoshi’s Tropical Island

Yoshi’s Tropical Island is unlocked from the start and features a rotating star spot between the two islands. The main gimmicks include Thwomp tolls that guard the two bridges and happening spaces that switch Bowser and Toad.

Tips and Strategies

  • It’s basically random whether Toad will be on the left or right island so you might as well loop the right island with Boo on it!  ~ Spongyoshi

Wario’s Battle Canyon

Wario’s Battle Canyon is unlocked from the start and features a rotating star spot. The main gimmicks include five separate islands and cannons that will fire players from island to island.

Luigi’s Engine Room

Luigi’s Engine Room is unlocked from the start and features a rotating star spot. The main gimmicks include warp pipes that return players to start and red and blue doors that alternate between staying open and closed.

Mario’s Rainbow Castle

Mario’s Rainbow Castle is unlocked from the start and features a stationary star spot. The main gimmicks include Toad and Bowser swapping spots whenever they are passed and an end of the board where players are sent back to the start.

Bowser’s Magma Mountain

Bowser’s Magma Mountain is unlocked after playing the first six boards at least once and purchasing the board from the Mushroom Shop for 980 coins. The board features a rotating star spot. The main gimmicks include statues that offer a random chance to take shortcuts and alternating blue and red spaces.

Eternal Star

Eternal Star is unlocked after playing the other seven boards at least once and after collecting 100 stars. This board features a rotating star spot. The main gimmicks include warp spots that take you to different parts of the broken star and dice block challenges from seven different Baby Bowsers to get Stars.
