Free-for-All Minigames (26)

Acornucopia
  • Abuse the fact that you can push your opponents, especially in the narrow passage divided into two parts.  ~ General_JF
Corkscrew Climb
Piece of Cake
Lava Labyrinth
  • When CPUS get hit by the lava monsters they run away which is your perfect chance to take the chest.  ~ Ggggggggggg
Piranha Plantemonium
Greedy Eats
Jump to Conclusion
  • The fastest way to complete this minigame is to only do big jumps and only doing a small jump when you see a Piranha Creeper two spaces away.  ~ Spongyoshi
Rolls for Moles
Wheelin’ and Wigglin’
Blowboat Battle
  • You can also use A to blow your boat instead of blowing but it’s slower than a regular blow.  ~ Spongyoshi
Fruit or Foe
Bumper Bugs
Top It Off
  • Let your opponent rack a few points as well or else they’ll all get the second place price.  ~ Spongyoshi
Splat-a-Stamp
Parkour War
Fruit Parade
Haunted Hallways
  • You can determine the final room from the beginning of the minigame. Before pressing A, check which direction the door and carpet comes from. You can determine the exact location of the room depending on which side of the wall the door is. Click on this map image to show where each final room will be depending on where the door is located. For the directions that appear twice, the correct room will be the one that is on the opposite side.  ~ General_JF
  • While the rooms are always randomized, the room leading to the final room is always a room with a singular entry and exit, meaning there’s only one possible room to take to enter the final room. If you see multiple paths leading to just one room, it’s best to ignore that room entirely.  ~ Spongyoshi
  • Before the prompt to begin appears, look at where the entrance to the goal room is. It will help you pinpoint where it is, so you can go into a doorway that’s opposite to what you saw at the beginning.  ~ Toader The Toad
Roller Revenge
  • Don’t try to eliminate your opponents, just try to stay alive. Even Master computers will often get hit.  ~ General_JF
Jewel Janitors
  • If you don’t really need the win and you ABSOLUTELY don’t want to see someone win, focus on their area.  ~ General_JF
Dodge Fuzzy, Get Dizzy
  • The first row of Fuzzies can be cleared by spinning at full speed! For the second row, drop for a second when approaching them, then rush back into it.  ~ Spongyoshi
Pop Quiz
Shooting Stars
  • Instead of trying to aim at the hole that contains the most points, I recommend aiming at the yellow hole. It will make 3 more balls appear and will therefore earn you a lot of points, especially since it can chain combos.  ~ General_JF
Conkdor de Force
  • If you see the CPUs doing nothing, it’s because you are going to be the only one that Conkdor are going to hit for. If this happens, press A at the last moment.  ~ General_JF
Bridgesaw Puzzle
Block Busters
Goomba Guess

Boss Battle Minigames (12)

Mega Goomba’s Bad Dream
  • I recommend taking 3 apples on the first phase as dodging Goombas is fairly easy at first but only taking 2 for the second as the Goombas become very difficult to dodge so more mobility is important!  ~ Spongyoshi
King Boo’s Light Smite
  • If you want to go faster, stay on the ground and look for the rotation. If it’s spinning clockwise, run on the left part of the platform. If it’s spinning counter-clockwise, run on the right part of the platform.  ~ Spongyoshi
Mega Monty Mole’s in the Hole
King Bob-omb’s Boom D’etat
  • King Bob-omb will face where his next bombs will drop. Do not be below a bomb when it drops or you’ll be stun!  ~ Spongyoshi
Petey Piranha’s Shell Smackdown
  • Try to aim at shells in the way while aiming for Petey as they’ll bounce toward the same direction that they’ve been hit.  ~ Spongyoshi
Mega Blooper’s Bayside Bop
Mega Dry Bones’s Femur
  • Jump to avoid incoming bones but ground pound in the same jump to do both at once.  ~ Dattaswaroop
  • Ground pound in the air to stall a bit longer while the animation plays, especially useful if you’ve jumped too early to avoid a bone.  ~ Spongyoshi
Kamek’s Card Tricks
Bowser’s Jr. Pound for Pound
  • Use the times where Bowser Jr moves out of his spot to quickly ground pound all the orange panels without getting hit. Otherwise, ground pound them with caution as you can even get hit by Bowser Jr. while he’s charging a punch.  ~ Spongyoshi
Bowser’s Space Race
Bowser’s Shocking Slipup
Bowser’s Hit-or-Missile Mania

Coin Chaos Minigames (12)

Tiles and Tribulations
Rolling Rumble
  • If you have a lava bubble, I ABSOLUTELY recommend you keep it for this mini game, the Shy Guys are very slow to come, so restarting the mini game will make your opponents lose a lot of time.  ~ General_JF
  • If you want to move faster, you can simply spam A.  ~ General_JF
Goomba Gold Rush
Leafboard Hoard
One-Stop Toad Shop
  • You can get up to three items at a time unless they are all the same item in which case, you’ll be stuck in an animation for a few seconds. Use that storage to do multiple commands at a time. You can even serve one item at a time for orders of multiple items!   ~ Spongyoshi
Cheep Cheep Reach
Samurai Smackdown
  • The next set of enemies only spawns once you’ve hit all the enemies in the previous wave. It also happens if you’ve walked far enough to the right so keep an eye on your back, especially since those enemies will be the farthest from you.  ~ Spongyoshi
Pinball Brawl
Silver Lining
  • Even if one piece seems far away from the others, get back there. This is not a waste of time, all the coins must be collected in order the next set to appear.  ~ General_JF
  • You can use the walls of clouds on the side as indefinite wall-jumps.  ~ Spongyoshi
Conveyor Meltdown
Steal Diver
  • Try to stay at the middle/top of the screen. If some coins get too low, it’s best to just ignore it before you get overwhelmed.  ~ Spongyoshi
  • Only the red part of your submarine has a hitbox, the little glass for your driver doesn’t have an active hitbox.  ~ Spongyoshi
House of Boos
  • You should almost always be running but be careful, you’ll skid for a second if you change directions too suddenly. My trick to counter that problem is to do a circle input towards the direction I want to go instead of switching it right away.  ~ Spongyoshi

Bowser’s Gauntlet Minigames (3)

Bowser’s Fence Fury
  • If you don’t really need the win, you can block someone in the 4 corners of the arena to be eliminated with you. In Coinathlon, it’s a risk taken but if someone is too far ahead, it may be worth it.  ~ General_JF
Bowser’s Power Bomb
  • Stay away from where Bowser will throw his Bob-omb. When the Bob-ombs explode, they move the arena to the side where they exploded so you will have less chance of falling into the void.  ~ General_JF
Bowser’s Fire Hazard
