Mario Party 3 – 4-Player Mini-Games

Treadmill Grill


Battle your foes on a moving treadmill while avoiding flaming Podoboos. Avoid touching the flames or falling off the platform to stay in the game. The last player standing wins.

Control Stick: Move

A+Z: Ground Pound

Ice Rink Risk


Avoid the Spiny Shells as they spin around the ice rink. The shell will increase in speed each time it hits a wall. Over time, a second and third shell will appear. Avoid touching the shell and be the last player standing to win.

Control Stick: Move

Parasol Plummet


As you are falling from the sky, collect coins that are falling nearby. Open and close your parasol to slow down or speed up. Hammer Bros. throw hammers that will cause you to temporarily be stunned.

Messy Memory

Memorize the order of the items on the shelves so that you are able to recreate it when all the items are knocked off the shelf. The player that best matches the original’s order wins.

Picture Imperfect

Hit the block to stop the character parts to try and recreate the original character face as best as possible. The player with the most accurate character face wins.

How well do you know Mario Party? Through a series of Mario Party questions, be the first to hit the block and answer the question correctly. Missing the question will cause you to lose a turn. Get three questions correct to win the game.

Curtain Call


As Goombas, Koopas, and Boos are dancing across the stage, remember the order that they were in. A question will follow that asks for the character of certain order. The incorrect answer will get you out and whatever players are left after the third round, win.

Cheep Cheep Chase


Swim as fast as possible to escape getting eaten by the giant Cheep Cheep. Avoid the bombs by diving under them. Fall behind and the Cheep Cheep will get you. The first player to the end wins.

A (Repeatedly): Swim

B/Z: Dive

Snowball Summit


Try to create a snowball big enough to roll and knock off the other players on the summit. The bigger the snowball, the further the player will be thrown. The last player standing wins.

Control Stick: Move/Push Snowball

A: Release Snowball

B (Repeatedly): Build Snowball

Toadstool Titan

Break the blocks to find the mushroom. Grab the mushroom to grow in size and run through the small area knocking players out of the game. After a few seconds, the mushroom will wear off and another set of blocks appear. The last person standing wins.

B: Attack

Aces High


Shoot down your foes as you fly around the sky. Each player has two lives and two different missiles. A normal missle will launch where you aim it and the Bullet Bill will follow the player you shoot it at. The last player flying wins.

Z: Fire Missiles

Bounce ‘n’ Trounce


Bounce and knock players off the platform. The platform will lose its blocks as time goes by, leaving holes and little space. The last player bouncing wins.

Chip Shot Challenge

The goal of the game is to hit the ball into the hole or get it as close to the hole as possible. The player with the closest score wins.

Control Stick: Aim Ball Left and Right/Adjust Shot Up and Down

Mario’s Puzzle Party


Break the falling blocks by connecting two or more of the smae color. This earns you points and the first player to 100 points wins. Thwomps will occasionally fall and squash blocks in half.

The Beat Goes On


Remember the order that the drums are played. Each player that goes will add a new drum that will have to be memorized by the next player. The last player standing wins. Remember to keep the beat going or you will lose.

Water Whirled

Race around the water track on a motorboat. The first player to complete five laps, wins. Watch your speed in order to make the sharp turns.

Frigid Bridges


Carry the blocks to the end of the path to fill in the gap to the island. Bring over three seperate blocks to the gap while moving across the slippery and curved path. The first player to reach the island wins.

Awful Tower


Manage your way up the tower by jumping from block to block. Missing a block will cause you to fall back down. The first player to the top wins. Hammer Bros. will throw hammers that will slow you down.

Control Stick: Move

Pipe Cleaners

Hit the Baby Bowsers as they come out of the pipes with your hammer. They will only stay for a short time before re-entering the pipe. The player with the most hits at the end wins.

Rockin’ Raceway

Use your hobby horse to race down the raceway. Time your speed in order to maintain your horse’s energy level. Grabbing an orange carrot will allow the energy level to be infinite for a short period of time, but the blue carrot will force you to spin out, losing time. The first player to the finish line wins.
