Chilly Waters

Chilly Waters from Mario Party 3

Chilly Waters is unlocked from the start and features a rotating star spot. The main gimmicks include snowballs that push you around the board and and ice lake that cracks under additional weight.

Tips and Strategies

  • You can miss the Action Time on purpose to move to the spaces marked in pink depending to where the snowball is rolling.  ~ Spongyoshi

Deep Bloober Sea

Deep Bloober Sea from Mario Party 3

Deep Bloober Sea is unlocked from the start and features a rotating star spot. The main gimmicks include luck-based torpedo junction and a massive mechanical fish that can vacuum players up.

Tips and Strategies

  • The anchor fish at the top left corner of the board is not the end of the world. There’s a chance it’ll try to send you to the right, sending you just before Boo. If this happens, let it suck you in. Return to the fish and you might be able to repeat this process again.  ~ SpiderStaryu
  • Take note of whether or not the torpedo was fired yet by Sushi on the current set of available buttons. If none was fired and only one button is left, pick the path opposite to the one you desire since you’re guaranteed to be redirected to the other path.  ~ Spongyoshi

Spiny Desert

Spiny Desert from Mario Party 3

Spiny Desert is unlocked from the start and features two rotating star spots, one that’s real and one that’s fake. The main gimmicks include two pits of quicksand that players can use to move across the map and cacti that act as a shortcut.

Tips and Strategies

  • There are two possible ways to identify the correct star. 1) If you use a Magic Lamp it will always bring you to the real star. 2) If the star positions are getting revealed for the 8th (16th, 24th, …) time, the real star is always on a position where no real star was in the last 7 reveals, so keep the last reveals in mind.  ~ CedrikPle
  • Hitting a cacti in the Action Time will launch you to their corresponding spot marked by a sign (far left for female cacti, far right for male cacti).   ~ Spongyoshi
  • If you roll a 7 or 8, buy a 10 coins item from the shop, then go up. You’ll land on a Bowser Space and get a generous refund from him.  ~ Spongyoshi

Woody Woods

Woody Woods from Mario Party 3

Woody Woods is unlocked from the start and features a rotating star spot. The main gimmicks include two trees that give different bonuses and forced junction paths that switch every turn.

Tips and Strategies

  • This is the easiest board to Boo-reverse as there’s a shop right after boo although you’d need some luck too. Either get a reverse in the shop or have one beforehand and if you need another roll, you could get another reverse mushroom from the shop while reversing unto it!  ~ Spongyoshi
  • For the Action Time events on this board, if you don’t choose a fruit before they hit the ground, the Trees will just give you a Forward/Reverse Fruit by default.  ~ P-Merks

Creepy Cavern

Creepy Cavern from Mario Party 3

Creepy Cavern is unlocked from the start and features a rotating star spot. The main gimmicks include Whomps that block paths until given an item and a minecart system that takes players from both sides of the board.

Waluigi’s Island

Waluigi's Island from Mario Party 3

Waluigi’s Island is unlocked from the start and features a rotating star spot. The main gimmicks include a three-way junction in the center of the board and an island filled with only one type of space that changes every turn.

Tips and Strategies

  • Reverse Mushroom can make short work of the direction platform; you will not encounter ACTION TIME and are allowed to choose any direction as you please.  ~ Slowcast
