Pirate Land

Pirate Land from Mario Party 2

Pirate Land is unlocked from the start and features a rotating star spot. The main gimmicks include a chaotic bridge that blasts players back to start and multiple islands.

Tips and Strategies

  • Rather than follow the star around the board like everyone else, focus on going in a circle on the main island. Assuming you are solid at winning minigames, you should have enough coins to constantly buy coins at the shop, pass through the gate, and visit boo frequently. You can get stars this way while everyone else worries about the bridge and star-chasing.  ~ Jeff Talbot

Western Land

Western Land from Mario Party 2

Western Land is unlocked from the start and features a rotating star spot. The main gimmicks include a moving train that can knock players back to start and a milk bar that calls everyone to one location. Hootenanny!

Tips and Strategies

  • Being hit by a train can be a strategic option! Western Land is massive boasting the largest space count in the game so if you want to get back to start quickly, maybe spend some time on the tracks!  ~ White Orbison

Space Land

Mystery Land

Mystery Land from Mario Party 2

Mystery Land is unlocked from the start and features a rotating star spot. The main gimmicks include four separate circling paths and happening spaces that transport your from area to area.

Tips and Strategies

  • Control the luck factor by always having a Skeleton Key while in the desert or stonehenge islands. Being able to exit and choose your next island gives you plenty of control.   ~ Haruwolf

Horror Land

Horror Land from Mario Party 2 during the daytime Horror Land from Mario Party 2 during the night

Horror Land is unlocked from the start and features a rotating star spot. The main gimmicks include a day and night system and multiple Boo locations.

Tips and Strategies

  • Stealing a Skeleton Key in Horror Land is a pretty smart idea. When night time comes, head to the top right corner and unlock the door to reach Big Boo to steal three stars!  ~ White Orbison

Bowser Land

Bowser Land from Mario Party 2

Bowser is unlocked after playing through the other five boards at least once and features a rotating star spot. The main gimmicks include the Bowser Parade that marches anyone caught in its path to the start and banks that give coins rather than requiring a deposit.

Tips and Strategies

  • If you’re ever worried about getting caught by the Bowser Parade, be sure to stay in one of the two curved paths before the parade begins. You could also avoid the parade by waiting on the Blooper ride, but it’s not recommended, as you are not guaranteed to leave on the next turn.  ~ Gianluca_S
  • If you land on the bank without any coins, Baby Bowser will take a star instead so watch out!  ~ Spongyoshi
