- Star 1 – Roll into the Cage
- Star 2 – The Pit and the Pendulums
- Star 3 – Get a Hand
- Star 4 – Stomp on the Thwomp
- Star 5 – Timed Jumps on Moving Bars
- Star 6 – Stop Time for Red Coins
- Star 7 – 100 Coins Star
You can alter the speed of everything in the level depending on what time is displayed on the clock when you jump through the world entrance. 12-2 will freeze everything, 3-5 will make everything slow, 6-8 will include both speeds at random times, and 9-11 will make everything fast.
Star 1 – Roll into the Cage
Jump when the minute hand is on the 12 to force everything into a complete stop. From the start, go up the steps and start jumping and moving up the platforms. This will lead to an area with a fire spitting sphere. Avoid the fire and jump up the next set of platforms until you see the star behind a cage.
Star 2 – The Pit and the Pendulums
Hop inside when the minute hand is at 3 to keep the level at a normal pace. Make your way back to the area where you got the first star, then double jump onto the cage. Keep following the path along the wall and climb the pole. Avoid the Heave-Ho enemy at all costs! Get to the swinging pendulums and slowly make your way across the narrow path to reach the star by the wall.
Star 3 – Get a Hand
Enter the level when the minute hand is at the 9 to make everything faster. Get back up to the area with the fire spitting sphere but this time don’t leave. Avoid the fire and wait for the massive clock hand passes by. Hop on it and let it take you around the room. You’ll eventually see a star in a hole, make sure to jump and grab it!
Star 4 – Stomp on the Thwomp
Jump in when the minute hand is at the 3 for a normal paced level. The star is all the way at the top of the level. We’ve trained for this. Start returning to the area where you got the second star. After you climb the pole, jump up to the metal grate where the Spinning Heart is at. Wait for the yellow platform to drop, then hop on and use it to reach the next set of platforms. Climb up the rotating square blocks, then run past the outward pushing wall blocks after they spring forward.
Hop up the conveyor belts and continue following the striped path. The slowly flipping platforms shouldn’t be too big of an issue but you may have some trouble with the rotating triangle platforms. Make sure to go as soon as they finish turning to give yourself the most amount of time. Reach the end of the striped path and wait for the clock hand to move past while avoiding the fire from the nearby sphere. Hop on the clock hand and slowly ride it to a Thwomp. Do a double jump to get on top of the Thwomp which will give you access to the star! Don’t fall off here either, you can’t get back up there that easily.
Star 5 – Timed Jumps on Moving Bars
Slide into the level when the minute hand is on the 9. This will be tricky since everything is moving a lot faster. Get back to the area where you climb up the pole and get to the Spinning Heart. Go up to the next set of platforms but this time don’t go up the rotating square blocks. Instead, you’ll have to go over to the three blocks popping out of the wall. Wait for each one to pop out fully before jumping to the next. Hop into the cage to get your star.
Star 6 – Stop Time for Red Coins
Enter the level with the minute hand at 12 to keep everything frozen. Perfect for collecting all eight red coins! From the start, don’t jump past the pendulum and instead pass the two Bob-ombs and go over to the wall of rotating platforms. Well, they used to rotate, now they’re still and perfect for collecting red coins. Jump up each one and you’ll quickly get all eight red coins.
Star 7 – 100 Coins Star
Collect 100 coins without dying or leaving a level to earn an additional star. Collect all the coins you see laying around but do keep in mind the following tips as you play. There’s a possible 128 coins to collect.
- Try entering with the minute hand on the 12 to freeze all platforms. If this is too hard, try the slow version at 3.
- The yellow block at the start has 10 coins inside.
- Collect all the red coins for 16 coins.
- The blue coin switch near the second level’s star will get you a hefty 35 coins total.
