Snowman’s Land Stars – Super Mario 64 Walkthrough

Our Snowman’s Land stars guide is part of our Super Mario 64 walkthrough and features all seven Power Stars and their locations.

Super Mario 64 Walkthrough and Stars Guide

Like every world in our Super Mario 64 walkthrough, Snowman’s Land has a total of seven stars to collect. Six are obtained through the level stages while the final star is earned once you collect 100 coins in a single run. Jump to each of the Snowman’s Land stars with the links below!

Star 1 – Snowman’s Big Head

Make your way around the level and get to the area where moving snow walls try to push you into freezing water. Triple jump up to the platform above, then take the wooden paths up to the ice bridge. The wind that blows from the snowman’s mouth does not stop and will definitely knock you off, so wait for the penguin to get near, then walk with the penguin across the bridge using it as a shield. You can also try to jump up on top of the penguin. Star is at the top!

Star 2 – Chill with the Bully

There’s a Chill Bully handing out on the ice platform sitting above freezing water. Attack it like you did the Big Bully in Lethal Lava Land but be aware of the slippery floor! Use jump kicks to push it into the freezing water.

Star 3 – In the Deep Freeze

This star is in the giant ice block near the start. There are square holes all over the ice block and you have to find a path to the star. Try going through hole on the left side. In the middle of the hole, jump to the right and keep moving upward. You should be able to find an opening that’ll drop you down to the star.

Star 4 – Whirl from the Freezing Pond

Return to the area with the moving snow walls trying to push you into the freezing water. Jump on the enemies with flowers on their heads to get bounced into air, spinning as you gently go down. Use the enemies to get past the freezing water and up the brick wall. Hit the yellow block to reveal a star!

Star 5 – Shell Shreddin’ for 8 Red Coins

Collect all eight red coins and a star will appear. These red coin locations appear all over the map and include:

  • Two red coins in the area near the yellow block.
  • Grab the Koopa Shell from the area accessible by jumping on the enemies with the flower heads near the moving snow walls. Use the shell to get all four red coins along the wall.
  • Ride the shell underneath the Chill Bully arena to get two red coins.

Star 6 – Into the Igloo

Return to the area with the moving snow walls and get back up the brick wall to get the Koopa Shell from the yellow block. Look for a steep slope in the freezing water. Ride up it and enter the small entrance.

Now inside the igloo, go a bit forward before taking a right. Make your way to the blue block containing a Vanish Cap and use it to walk through the ice walls. That include the ice wall blocking off the star you saw when you first entered.

Star 7 – 100 Coins Star

Collect 100 coins without dying or leaving a level to earn an additional star. Collect all the coins you see laying around but do keep in mind the following tips as you play. There’s a possible 127 coins to collect.

  • Money Bags have five coins inside. Spindrifts have three.
  • Over 30 coins inside the igloo.
