I'm sorry but I'm only impressed with some of the minigames.

The one board, isn't all that interesting and I don't like how it's based more on luck than skill.

Hide and seek? Seriously? What you need a friggen Wii to do that?

This game looks crappy except the minigames. I'll rent it or borrow it from a friend but only because of the minigames.
I stronly agree with this. Not that entertaining for me to purchase unless SZ convinces me strongly...:p
Just rent it. It's not worth buying it. I've played it 4 times and I'm already bored of it.
Ah, really. 4 times and then it bored you. Hmm, yes, I could see my myself renting this game for once. New games are always fun to play the first time.

I would. The minigames are better than I expected and they are fun. There are modes instead of boards, but it's still fun. One mode involves rolling di(ce) to reach the end and has many surprises. The other is like MP with getting Souveniors (stars) and coins, but you choose a random card to move. If you like the MP8 motion games, you'll like these ones. It's your call, if you want to see gameplay (if there is any), check YouTube. I hope this helps. :)

They had this featured in the November Issue of Game Informer magazine. It got 4.5 out of 10. The person who wrote the article summed up with saying quote: "The only impressive thing about Wii Party is how Nintendo dumbed down and removed the soul from a franchise that was already as stupid and soulless as Mario Party."

One of my Friends showed me that as well, although I don't really agree with that Score, but whatever, anyway I like WP it has some pretty good modes.

Board Game Island is too Luck-Based but it's actually a pretty good Mode when playing with Friends/Family, it has some pretty good events, what I don't like is that most of these events are too much luck...what I do like is the Mini-Game, Move Ahead/Back and Volcano Spaces, those are my favorite Events on Board Game Island.

Globe Trot is my Favorite Mode in Wii Party, it's almost a combination of Mario Party and Sonic Shuffle Combined, you use Random Cards to move move how many Spaces are shown in the Card and every turn you get a Move 1/2/3 Card, or you can land on a Train Space and get a Train Card which can move you arround 4/5/6 Spaces, and you have Coins like in MP plus buying Photos are the same as collecting Stars. (Except they only cost 10 Coins)
You move first, last etc. depening on what rank you got, so if you were last in the last turn, you go first next turn if you win the Mini-Game, and you earn coins as well
Getting 1st Gives you 10 Coins
2nd Gives you 5 Coins
3rd Gives you 3 Coins
and Dead 4th Place gives you nothing but a single Coin.... X_X
Landing on a 1-VS-3 Space will start a Mini-Game
If the 3 players win they each get 5 Coins
and if the single players wins he/she gets 15 Coins
there's only 10 Rounds though...but you go to overtime after that and you have to get one more picture to end the game and if you get the last picture in overtime you get 2 photos at the price of one.

And I do love the Mini-Games, those are pretty good,
Too bad there are no 2-VS-2 Mini-Games
And there TOO MANY 4-Player Mini-Games

4-Player: 41
1-VS-3: 5
1-VS-1: 11
Pair: 22
Challenge: 7
(Not sure if they count as Mini-Games) House Party :5
Total Mini-Games: 91/86

I love most of them, but I wish there were less 4-Player, a few more 1-VS-3 Mini-Games and some 2-VS-2 Mini-Games...

But yeah the game's OK I guess...

Remember when I said that? Well I think GameInformer got it wrong. I got this game today as a present, it is way too good to be rated so low. Maria's right there are a lot of 4-Player Games, and Spin Off or whatever that game with the bank is called gets frustrating some times, but the overall picture Wii Party gives is amazing. The Globe Trot game reminds me a lot of Mario Party.
