Why Do You Visit Mario Party Legacy?​

When it comes down to it, what we provide here at Mario Party Legacy relies on what you, the reader, visit the site for. Since early this year, Mario Party Legacy has moved away from being a Mario Party centric website to covering all aspects of the Mario series. As we continue down this path, I’d like to take a moment and get some feedback from the visitors. Below I have a series of polls set up, asking questions about the website in general. We are always looking at ways to improve Mario Party Legacy, and this will be a great start to see what the readers think.



This is a little questionnaire that I would like everyone to take a look at and vote on. What we provide over on the main site is important and I would like to hear what you guys think. Head over to this link to vote.
 
It's an answer I would be totally ready to share in a more specific way, if I can do so, of course! (But it might be long.)

Why do you visit Mario Party Legacy?
I have a few reason as of why I am interested about being on this forum:
-The main reason is that is mostly a Mario Party forum, and Mario Party is one of my favorite game series, with Mario Kart being my best one.
- I like to have some news about the games, although usually, I don't like to spoil any games features too fast, I prefer taking my time to do so.
- As you can see, I totally like to talk about Mario Party, I like to share my ideas (although not often because I'm mostly anxious about doing so) and to read about it as well as showing my passion for it.
- The communauty looks really friendly, some of the members on here looks really dedicated about being on the forum and all, and it's interesting to see that as well as probably making some friends around.
- Talking on the forum is also something interesting, as well as the chatbox. (Although that little private chat was useful but if it makes the forum slower and laggy, I would prefer to don't have much...
- I also don't have a lot of chance of knowing a lot of fans of the series in my real life without being laughed at by playing it because they mostly find that chilish for someone of my age. (In case people don't remember well, I am actually 19 years old at the time of this message and takes Mario games and the other series I like in a really addicted way to have a lot of games and furnitures of it.) But in here, I hope and like to being respected for this as I also like really unique Mario characters. (Wiggler and Lakitu are awesome... )
- And last of all, it's because I would like to be around to help making the forum live into the things that I am interested of talking about and I would also like to find ways to improve the forum, or with people, or on my own.

What Would You Like to See More Of?
- I would say that it would be nice to have more Mario news to read, but I would also say that new features could be added. It could be interesting to see.

What Stops You From Joining the Forum?
- I will answer this question because I was hesitating a lot, when I first saw the forum. Since the first time I saw it, in 2009, I had a little bit enough of the forums and didn't want to come on another one without being entirely ready to come on one without having much problems and being less affraid to post, and to be able to master my English language a little bit more. (Because at this time, I was only knowing the English basis and I was way too much affraid of doing mistakes and all since I write near the perfection in my native language.) So I joined in Februay 2012 of this year while knowing the website when it wasn't even Mario Party Legacy, so it took 3 years for me to join.

Why Do You Listen to the Lost Levels Podcast?
- I can't really say anything about the podcasts because I don't really listen to them at the moment because I don't feel like doing so. I am sure it's interesting for some people, but it doesn't looks to do so for me at the moment. (Plus I think my English comprehension is not good enough for this.)

My personnal opinion of Mario Party Legacy:
- This website is really interesting and dedicated although at times it's calm enough and inactive, and starting to lost a little bit of interest to it although I would try my best to be someone dedicted for the website and the forum, but I don't know at the same time, although I do like that because of how nice and serious I am. (Although I'm somewhat emotive enough.) It's just hard to believe that someone as hard as me on the forum managed to join, really. (But I was really embarassed and affraid to have joined at first because forum aren't totally my thing, but this waiting get this reward.)

Why do you visit MPL?
Simply a few reasons:
- I love Mario Party, and pretty much anything Nintendo.
- I enjoy talking with my friends from MPL. And MPL is very friendly.
- I love the Activities Central. I should start hosting some more as well... XD
- I listen and do the Podcast. :p
- Makes me not so bored.

What would you like to see more of?
I'd love to see more activities that the whole forum can join; such as Conquering Kingdoms. =P

What stops you from joining the forum?
Uh... what do you mean from that? I've already joined. :p

Why do you listen to the Lost Levels Podcast
I listen to the podcast because I enjoy hearing people discuss about games (that I like/heard about :p) and I also love the Mailbag, the Juice and the hosts. :D
Plus I am a regular of the Podcast. :p

My personal opinion of MPL?
I think it's a great forum, however, sometimes, the way people post or the things they do can get annoying. (Not gonna point out members =P) It also needs to start getting more active.

Why do you visit MPL?
For 2 or 3 main reasons:

-To play activities in the Activities Central, as some can be very creative and fun.
-To talk with other members here.

What would you like to see more of?
More interesting discussions -- most of the topics are dull and boring.

What stops you from joining the forum?
I already did. :p I join every forum I go on, as I don't like to just browse as a guest.

Why do you listen to The Lost Levels podcast?
I don't, but only because I don't have the time to do so. I'm sure you have some nice discussions though. :)

My personal opinion of MPL?
It's a cool forum that has a lot of awesome members.
But, a lot of people on here also make some stupid posts, and pointless topics.
There's also barely any posts a day.

Why do you visit MPL?
Because... I actually don't know why, though it's mostly for the fourm
I met a lot of people that I like here and don't just want to abandon it all (plus, I got my own activity running now :p).

I guess I also came for the general Mario news that comes in as well.

What Would You Like to See More Of?
So far, I only want to to see more posts and activities for people to play in ~ I don't want to be making about 1/3 of the activities now :p

What Stops You From Joining the Forum?
I'll talk about the half-a-year time I was a guest for~ I was very cautious of what I did on the internet then. Didn't feel comfortable joining right away...

Why do you listen to The Lost Levels podcast?

Why Do I visit Mario Party Legacy?
I don't really visit the website that much anymore, I get all of my news from topics on the forum or other places I visit. Plus, I usually find that not much information is given when pages are made for certain games. I visit the forum because I have fun on it.

What Would You Like To See More Of?
I would like to see more posts in the General Discussion board, I love learning about other members and I would also like to see more posts in the General Gaming board.

What Stops You From Joining The Forum?
I am already on the Forum.

Why Do You Listen To The Lost Levels Podcast ?
I don't really listen to the Podcast because I usually forget about, the ones I did listen to were alright but nothing special.

Your Personal Opinion on MPL?
The website is great even if I don't visit it too often, the forum it is great, but I would like to see more posts and more contests for members to participate in.

I started viewing the main site the day Mario Party 9 was shown at E3 and every day after I keep checking back every day for more news on Mario Party 9.At the start of 2012 I found the forum and ever since I was looking at all the posts.

I like hearing the group talk about the main topic.

The website is good for news and the forum is good for posting but I want to see some more post.


 
Why do you visit MPL?
I visit MPL because I love Mario Party and love the members. There are a lot of relatable members and interests we all share, which makes this site/forum a nice haven for gamers.

What would you like to see more of?
I would like to see some fun Mario articles, like interesting facts and fanart submissions.

What stops you from joining the forum?
I'm on the forum staff, so your question is invalid. XD

Why do you listen to the Lost Levels Podcast?
I haven't listened for awhile, but when I do, I listen because I love to hear your guys' opinions on games. Plus, they're entertaining.

My personal opinion of MPL?
It's a great site, but the MP information needs to be completed; This is a site mainly about the Mario Party series. The forum, I wish it'd be more active. Other than that, I love the site/forum.
 
Why do you visit MPL?
I like to hear new news about Mario Party and Mario Games in general, and I think that this site, along with MarioWiki, are two very handy resources. I also enjoy the forum because it gives me a chance to meet people who share my interests in Toadette Mario, and even in Non-Mario stuff.

What would you like to see more of?
As Chubbo said, it would be nice to see more fan articles, and even a fanart corner every other week. Community Night is also a really nice addition, and it allows non-forum members to connect with others.

What stops you from joining the forum?
I wanted to join back in 2011, but I decided not to for a reason I forgot :p In February, I finally decided to become a part of MPL Forums because I figured "Meh, I have nothing better to do, I probably won't be active much anyway", but I was surprised on how interesting the community was. This Forum has been the first forum I've been seriously active on, I think it also helps that I can log on from my phone, since I don't go on my computer much.

Why do you listen to The Lost Levels podcast?
Well for one, I'm an active part of it now ;D Before I never listened to it, but I saw the topics on some of them and figured "Hey, this is actually pretty neat."

Personal opinion of MPL?
I find it to be a great site, but nowadays the forum and main site seem pretty dead, most likely because everyone's back in School. It's a shame so many active members have been leaving, and only bots and what I like to call "One-timers" (Members who only post once or twice and then never come back) are replacing them.
In short, I wish the site in it's entirety would be more active and get more active members. But I guess nobody can really fix that.  :-\
 
Why do you visit MPL?
-For news on Mario games.
-To enjoy the fun activities MPL has to offer (Though, there hasn't been as many just recently)
-Hang out with friends
-MPL Survivor!! :p

What would you like to see more of?
More posts. However, it's alright saying people need to post more, but if there's noting to post in, then people can't really do anything. You can't take down forum games, not provide any alternatives, and expect people to be more active... Maybe some older 'general discussion' topics could be revived? Perhaps even in one achievements week, people could create a new general discussion topic to earn a few points? This will at least give people something to do.

I would also like to see more activities and more people participating in them. It would be nice if some people made more of an effort to contribute as-well. Whether it be hosting a game or simply taking the time to make more or refined posts.

Also, community night should be hosted at least once a month. It will give people something to look forward to. :)

What stops you from logging on?
Unrelated to MPL - I'm very busy with work and sometimes don't have time to log on.

Related to MPL - There aren't many new things to log on for. If there were more posts and more interesting activities, it would give more reasons to log on. On the upside, I'm currently planning on hosting a mafia game. Stay tuned for more info, folks. :p

I usually don't, but If I like the subject, then I listen to it.

My personal opinion of MPL?
I love MPL! It's a fun place to hang out with friends. Everybody is really nice and we all share a lot of common interests. On the down side, people aren't very active and there aren't usually many new posts to read.
