Nobody should ever lie about cancer, that's cold and selfish. My mother just had a double mastectomy (3 months ago) to get rid of the cancer that took her sister and almost took her niece (which was also her sister's daughter). I've been, and still am, caring for her during this painful time, with changing the bandages everyday or so, helping her with her wound vac while it closed up her open wounds, reading her verses from her bible to cheer her up, preparing her meals, etc. She's needed a lot of emotional support because nobody's been there for her since her late sister and she's wanted to give up so many times during this long, painful recovery. I've been at her side, day and night making sure she's okay and has everything she needs. She's gone through hell with all the pain from this surgery and with all the tape and gauze pads they've had to apply to her body to keep the wounds closed. It'll be another couple of weeks until the wounds are finally closed up. It has kept her very depressed from the loss of her breasts and how it claimed her favorite and only loving relative that she had left. Cancer is nothing to joke about and using it for your own selfish desires to gain attention is disgusting. People like that are dead in my eyes.
