Dude, I hear you. I was usually forced to be paired up by people since people didn't want me in their group. I agree with both A and B. For the first few minutes, we had to do warm-ups. They consist of push-ups, sit-ups, jumping jacks, and other warm-ups.
We don't have warm-ups lol. We just change, sit down, and wait for role call for like 2000 hours.
Well, if you were in my school, competition is rowdy and chaotic. Back in middle school, if you lose, you would be sworn at and be hated. High School is no different. It probably depends on the person itself. If you are not the athletic type, you're more than likely you are unwelcome in gym. I'm not the competitive type, so I usually have to deal with this. I never really seen gym as 'easy', but it's an opinion. Likewise, I'm the one who does things for the fun of it.
Competition's not that bad here. It's more of the fact you have the "star seekers" that want attention so they do stupid crap like kick a basketball at full force at the bleachers, spike a volleyball into someone's crotch, try to trip you during basketball runs, etc. It sucks. I could technically transfer to a better Gym period that I know a lot of my friends in but I've already switched classes enough this year that I don't want to have my Guidance Counselor PO'd at me lol. And yeah, I'm more of the fun guy than the competitive guy. What's embarrassing is that I tend to hang out with the girls in my class since the guys are annoying. Soooo some people either think I'm a horndog or gay lol.
Yeah, but swimming only last about two weeks in gym and never got to swim again. Our school has a pool, but it's full of chlorine. I usually bring googles because of this.
My old school had a pool, but I never got to take the program there when I moved to my new district, which they don't have a pool.
We had the following in my school:
Drivers ED
Drivers Education in Gym class?? That's something new lol.
Gym Class usually last about a semester, unless you were taking Advanced Sports and Conditioning. I think the Adv. classes were singleton classes and singletons last about a year.
I have to take Gym every other day for the rest of the school year. It's a requirement for graduation in NY State (like, really?) It's stupid, yeah, but I wanna get out of here.
It sucks that you never get to experience swimming or anything like that in Gym. I'd hate to go through Basketball, Vollyball, Badmittion (which I do not find really bad); and repeat over and over. I'd hate to go through Archery and Track. :c I guess I would not enjoy going to your school.
I can handle Basketball, Badminton, Archery, and Track (since I play Track and Basketball, I have experience), but I just hate the repetitiveness of the activities that we do.
Ping Pong was horrible, end of discussion. lol
We have Wii Play for that actually. lol
