Much better than Luigi's Curcuit from MKWii and I felt it did a good job of balancing the "basic" element as well as implementing shortcuts and some glider time.

Much better than Luigi's Curcuit from MKWii and I felt it did a good job of balancing the "basic" element as well as implementing shortcuts and some glider time.
I'm not a big fan of generic tracks like this one, but I can easily say that it's way better than MKWii's track and MKDD's track. The one in MKDD was really short and the one in MKW is nothing special. I know it's only the first track so obviously I don't expect something like the Rainbow Road.
It kind of reminded me of Figure-8 Circuit from DS except it was a hell of a lot more exciting.
I thought it was one of the best general tracks from Mario Kart. Applause!

^Now that you mention it it does have that figure-8 vibe 
Relative to the other courses in the game, obviously not the most exciting, but compare it against most first-course-of-Shroom-Cup and it's quite a gem.
I've never tried the air ballon glitch on this stage.

A very good track. I agree it's better than the other first tracks in other Mario Kart games. Toad Circuit had a little more background to it. The figure 8 vibe didn't get to me at first, but now that you mention it...it did.
And really, only Blue Toad and Yellow Toad Balloons? Sheesh, Nintendo sure does like to promote those two.

I love this course to death, it has great music and has a awesome Toad feel, the music fits this course a lot better than Mario Circuit. =P I mean, obviously it's not the most "OMG BEST DESIGN EVER" but it's simple and fun.
A five star course, especially for all drivers at any skill level. I liked the Toad balloons, the music is great and I would mostly vote for that one online.
This is one of the better first courses in the series. It has some skill for it, especially the shroomless hop to the ramp offroad.
