Michael tell me why I should watch this, convince me.
Did you ever watch Avatar?
Yup, I would watch the first series first.

Both shows have a really cool concept (ability to manipulate the elements), along with some great characters, great stories (imo), fantastic animation, and amazing music. It's pretty awesome.

Book 3 is the best book of Korra so far. Quality animation, quality writing and plot, very interesting villains, and character development for all the characters has been so much better than the first two books.

Trailer (A LOT of spoilers for the show, even if you are just familiar with the original series):

Were you still fond of Book 2? I stopped watching after Book 1 because in all honesty I can't stand the character of Korra, especially when compared to young Aang. If a main character doesn't perform well for me I generally lose interest even if the story is awesome.

No Spoilers in this post. :p

Book 3 finale was today. Amazing. Epic and a satisfying conclusion to an already fantastic book. Book 3 is definitely leaps and bounds better than Books 1 and 2, and I'm still figuring out where I would place it among TLA books (better than Book 1 of TLA).

Korra's character arc this entire series has to be one of the best character arcs I have ever seen on TV (tbh I don't watch that much TV, but still :p). Watching her in Book 1 and seeing her at the end of Book 3 is like night and day. And this doesn't happen overnight - there is a natural progression and you see her grow and change as she faces different situations and problems. Where they leave her in the final scene is extremely interesting and I'm very excited to see where they go with her character.

Fight scenes were some of the best, if not the best, in the entire series, both Korra and TLA. Music was top notch as always. Everything was just awesome. :p Now just one more book before it all wraps up.

Don't spoil yourself, go watch the show.

But really, the murder and death this book. Kids show, please.

I would say Book 2 was on par with Book 1. Not in terms of stakes and the plot, it was much more heavy in Book 2. They actually crammed way too much in there. :p If you couldn't stand Korra in Book 1, you probably will like her even less in the first half of the book. But honestly, I don't want to see characters that are doing well or achieving there goals all or most of the time. I want to see characters make mistakes and fail before they come out on top. So I've always liked Korra, even when she goes off the deep end. Plus, I don't want another Aang, that's what that show was for. :p

I've seen bits and pieces of The Last Airbender of Book 1 & 2, (from watching it with my sister), but I did see all of Book 3. The last 2 episodes are SO DAMN GOOD.

As for Korra, I've watched every episode. Book 1 was pretty cool, Book 2, not so much (more like I didn't like the concept of fighting spirits), Book 3 IS AMAZING. And again, the last 2 episodes are GOD DAMN AMAZING. Bolin is my favorite character, but Asami and Mako are also pretty damn badass.

WHEN BOLIN LAVA BENDED IN EPISODE 12 I WAS LIKE ASDFHJKL.

Then in the finale, when Mako fights Ming-Hua (the waterbending criminal) AND DODGES HER MOVES LIKE A PRO, THEN ELECTROCUTES HER I'M LIKE WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT. That was fucking AMAZING.

I'm actually really glad to see all the episodes on there. Makes me have more incentive to watch further.

Aaaand I still need to watch both Books 2 and 3... (The 3rd one still hasn't aired where I live.)

Nick.com has all the episodes for free.
