Let's do a 'semi objective' review of the categories each team was meant to cover shall we?

Roster - firstly idk why this is even worth 10 points, 5 is more than enough.
Blue - no detail on unlock methods, and no witty comments on them. But diverse roster. 4/5
Pink - perhaps a little excessive on comments, however categorizing them into groups and alluding to them through story/unlocks is nifty. Cast is essentially recycled plus Junior. 4.5/5
Red - same reasoning as Blue. Baby inclusion is unique. Image is pleasing and demonstrates roster nicely. 4.5/5
Yellow - very clear unlock methods but with 8 unlocks would initially feel a bit empty. Also recycling SG and Magi for what is essentially an alternate skin is a bit of a waste. 4/5
Purple - similar reasons as Purple but trophy descriptions make it a little higher. 4.5/5

Boards - 10 points is reasonable.
Blue - a list of boards without description does not help a reviewer imagine them. Connecting them to bosses is fine. While the number of boards is reasonable, unfortunately there isn't enough information to rate this higher than a 5/10
Pink - as presented the list of boards is confusing but it does give a general idea of what to expect. Implementation of the GamePad from the outset adds uniqueness as does making the boards operate to different rules. 7/10
Red - insufficient information besides titles of boards. Number rather low. Would be helpful if a description or image of board was given. 4/10
Yellow - interesting use of Koopalings however there is some thematic discrepancy that may make players wonder if this is actually Koopaling Party. Again images would be nice. 7.5/10
Purple - highly descriptive boards and board features. Some localities seem rather ambitious (Lakitus owning metropolises, really?) but in all well set out. 8.5/10

Minigames - 5 is reasonable
Blue - a list of minigames is alright, however if examples were given it would be better. Puns are there but not with the same oomph as in the series. 3.5/5
Pink - minigame descriptions are brief. No indication of minigame numbers. GamePad exclusive minigames are interesting. Puns appear somewhat forced. 3.5/5
Red - not given. 0/5
Yellow - a huge list with lots of descriptions is overwhelming, but credit must be given for the dedication. 4/5
Purple - succinct with numbers but good descriptions. 4.5/5

Items - 5 is reasonable
Blue - good description of items and categorization. 4.5/5
Pink - not enough specifics though categorization is reasonable. 2/5
Red - while derived from MP6 for the most part, solid effort. 5/5
Yellow - insufficient item numbers. Also please name the items page 'Items'. 3/5
Purple - decent mix of items although prices seem too cheap. 4.5/5

Spaces - this deserves out of 10 since it's that important
Blue - lots of spaces but explanations and images would help. 5/10
Pink - interesting categorization of spaces based on mode. Some derivation (particularly from MPI/MPFS) although the unique modes have interesting spaces. Images would help. 6.5/10
Red - nicely done images and seasonal spaces are well designed. 8.5/10
Yellow - space designs are bland. Descriptions are thin. All spaces are derived. 5.5/10
Purple - Citrus Space appears somewhat derived in design from Fresh Space. Rainbow Space is derived from the Event Space in MP3 Duel Mode and doesn't offer something unique to gameplay. All other spaces derived. 6/10

Story - 5 is reasonable
Blue - Non-existent. 0/5
Pink - Interesting introduction of a new character and also ties in somewhat well with Mario canon otherwise. A bit thin in terms of in game story progression. 3.5/5
Red - Non-existent. 0/5
Yellow - This confirms the game is Koopaling Party with Mario characters. 2.5/5
Purple - Mario Party 8 like storylines are not that interesting. 2.5/5

Unlockables and Extras - not an existing category but deserves one. Out of 5
Blue - None given. 0/5
Pink - quite significant detail including other modes and descriptions. Not much in terms of figures though. 4/5
Red - not given. 0/5
Yellow - Not much asides from characters. 1/5
Purple - Not much other than trophies and characters. Expanding on this including if modes should be unlocked would be appreciated. 2.5/5

GamePad Ingenuity and Modes and Everything Else - new category out of 5
Blue - nothing mentioned in detail. 1.5/5
Pink - quite extensive GamePad explanations and features. Menu layout makes things easy to understand. 4/5
Red - not given. 0/5
Yellow - more description than Blue, but still not as much as it could be. 2/5
Purple - The last three modes seem more characteristic of Minigame modes. No Options or Extras? 3/5

Personal Opinion - not worth anything but a general impression
Blue - quite extensive listing in the core mechanics but the lack of context hurts it a little. Bring in the significance of having Tumble and Rosalina a bit more.
Pink - unique storyline but a bit deficient in core mechanics. Extensive unique features.
Red - although quite lacking, the quality of sections completed suggests that with more planning and time, this is promising
Yellow - Koopaling Party. Bring a bit more coherence to how all elements interact with each other, though individual sections are good.
Purple - rather solid although some weakness regarding spaces and the story is recycled.

Overall would be:
Blue - 23.5
Pink - 35
Red - 23
Yellow - 29.5
Purple - 36

Feel free to bash me lol.

N.B. this is not an official endorsement or anything.

Purple didn't even make those spaces yet gotten a perfect score for them...
They EVEN took them from 3rd party. Some didn't even make spaces, just description. I don't see how that's 5/5. At most it should be 4/5

I personally made the three "new" spaces (Character, Citrus, and Rainbow) to be brand new. When you said third party, I wasn't sure if your talking about MPI or Mario Party 3, but neither of those "games" have matching spaces to out ideas. The Character Space was based off of me wanting the character emblems to have more appearances in the game, the Citrus Space was based on most Citrus's being "sour then sweet," and the Rainbow space was because there were a variety of outcomes. If I DID copy an idea (which of what I could find, I haven't), my subconscious must've derped.

Also... I'm agreeing with most everyone else saying that the Yellow teams was based on bias. I mean, personally, the Pink Team should've gotten second (or first, I am utterly AMAZED we got first) because of their innovative ways to use the GamePad, creativity, and really actually made me excited for this as an ACTUAL game. The Yellow team BARELY had any new ideas... really just new maps and new characters. I won't count minigames in this, as I did like MOST of their minigames. Their "innovative way" to use the GamePad, was totally lacking, one of the key things to make a Mario Party on the Wii U. For instance, me and LF used it for an entire mode to make 5 players be able to play at once, but also used it for 1 v. 3 games and so on. I saw LOTS of great ideas that were much better than Yellow getting an 8, matching out score, in the "other" feature. If the the. Being honest, anyone who knew what this was about can tell that it was biased over. Except for us... if people are implying that, lol. Both me and LF are pretty much newbies, gosh I hope we didn't win for something other than our creativity.

Personally, I believe the Pink team should've won. That's right. NOT ME. I mean, come on! I said it once, and I'll say it again! I actually want to play the Pink Teams game. The only reason I think we won was because of how far our creativity led us to and how deep we delved into the game. Creating prices for items, bonus stars, interactive pieces with boards, a creative story hinting at the real world... Perhaps it was the little things.

Finally, you know I'm not being a bad sport... 'cause, well... (oh, gosh, I'm not gonna rub it in, but I'll say I didn't lose.)

That's the thing that really matters in the end and this is what you did spectacularly :p Like in my assessment I felt all in all it was a solid effort and the core mechanics of the game were all thoroughly addressed (unlike Pink which is where we lost points). Not to mention that zeal is one manifestation of dedication and teamwork and everything. :p
