No Super Mario World topic?!?  :eek: I have to say, this is probably my favorite Mario game, if not my favorite 2D Mario side-scroller.
 
It's a great game but in my opinion Super Mario Bros. 2 and 3 were much better then this.

I understand how this game was one of the best games out there for Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It even debuted our favorite dinosaur, Yoshi.

Then why don't you buy it off the Wii's Virtual Console?
 
This is my favorite 2D Mario side-scroller. I use to go to my mom's friend's house and play it on her SNES until I got the game. So nostalgic and so fun. I really loved the overworld map and the level designs, secrets, enemies, and so on. I loved having Yoshi as a partner in this game; He really did make the game more fun. The ghost houses were probably my favorite levels just because they were confusing at times and involved some thinking. The thing I loved doing most was looking for the keys for the secret exit, that kept me playing for many more hours, though I still haven't found every secret.

I definitely recommend this game if you haven't played it yet and you love Mario games. And I'm surprised we never had this topic. :p

This game is epic! It is so awesome!
I mostly like how it introduced Yoshi for obvious reasons.

I practically rode Yoshi throughout the whole game here!

The cape feather was also one of the best power-ups around at the time! It was so fun flying with this thing, especially because it never ran-out if you were skilled with it.

I'd probably put this game as my absolute favorite Super Mario game other than SMB3 - both games were extremely awesome! ;D
...oh, and we might need a new image there... I can't see it.
 
Super Mario World is my favorite Main series Mario game. It introduced Yoshi and staple Mario enemies, along with ones that should return in the future. I liked Yoshi's power ups when he eats a colored shell or a obtains pair of wings from a ? block. The ghost houses were fun to explore. The Koopaling battles were all unique than Super Mario Bros 3. The two extra worlds were neat. It sucks that it never made it into the original All stars, it made it into the second one and then was excluded from the Wii version.

I have it for Wii Virtual Console, I'd like to see it one the Wii U's GamePad.
