Steven Universe season 3 Thread

Newest 'Hit the Diamond' leak:
''Steven and the Gems are amazed to see 5 Rubies , soldiers sent by Yellow Diamond , coming out of the tracking vessel . Garnet unfuse so that Ruby infiltrate the group and discovers their purpose , but she causes suspicions . To prevent them from searching the area and finding Peridot , Stevens propose a baseball match : If they win , they can search the barn , if they lose, they will leave forever.
Team A :
Steven, Pearl, Amethyst, Sapphire and Lapis [Who is disguised as an human]
Team B :
The Rubies [And our Ruby who is infiltrating them]''
So, what do you think? It looks pretty real to me. First because in the picture Ruby and Amethyst are on different teams, second because it wouldn't make sense if Steven was telling Lapis to leave forever if she loses, he likes her, third because it would be strange it was Jasper the mystery opponent because why would they let Jasper come in?
Also, can't wait to see "human'' Lapis!

Don't worry mate, the episodes will probably be posted by someone on the internet the same day it airs. I mean, on Thursday we'll have Super Watermelon Island and Gem Drill, some minutes or hours later it'll probably already be in HD on the internet.

I also probably won't see it the same day it airs. I live in Brazil, so they'll probably only release here 3 months later. Good thing I understand english and prefer the englsih dub over the portuguese one XD. Then I'll be able to watch it on the internet. I can't wait for Barn Mates, Hit The Diamond and Same Old World.

I'll try to explain how I saw the show as a whole (I'm no good with that kind of things).

The first episodes are mainly funny ones, there's no real "dramatic" moments where it changes the whole story. I saw it like "an introduction" to the characters, their general goal in life, their powers and to the main plot, coming a few episodes after. It has some important elements (character's ability, gem monsters, ect.) but tbh, I didn't really pay attention at first. I thought it was cool, and that's all. It was after the start of the main story that I realized that it plays an important role in the show.

From my point of view, the main story pretty much starts at the end of season 1A (each season has 26 episodes, except season 1, it has 52 but we can divide it in two parts).

I wouldn't recommend to start at season 3, because you wouldn't necessarily understand some references or origin of some aspects. The story is pretty linear (I think).

Yeah, me neither, Lapis seems like she'll be recurring this season, and to understand why she'll act like that, the viewer needs to have watched her episodes.
 
I think it worked better as an action comedy like in the first few episodes, but now it's really reaching to the tumblr crowd where they are putting in too much social commentary. That's the reason why I sort of hate shows like Family Guy or South Park, too much pop culture references/political commentary and not enough story or substance. I'm not a fan of the show, but I really loved the atmosphere it is trying to pull together. If only the writing was any good.

There are few arcs in there 2 I know from the top of my head, and a 3rd one I think we're currently in.

Oh man have I been waiting. The day I have my state exams I can go home and watch the new episodes I've been waiting for since January. I'm not really looking to see any character in particular since it's been so long, I'm in for any bit of story, which from the trailers, we'll see a lot of.

Yes! I can't believe we actually survived that much! Now we get 2 episodes and then we'll keep getting one new episode a week until June 2th! I can't wait for Same Old World, Barn Mates and Hit the Diamond!

Yes! And Lapis appeared in both! She'll appear in all the In Too Deep episodes, this gives me a good feeling that she might become a Crystal Gem or that at least she'll be much more recurring now, being as recurring as Connie in season 3 at least. Also, I like how the CGs were worried when she was about to slide down and then Amethyst quickly grabbed her.
Also, spoilers, did you see the Same Old World clip that was revealed today? Lapis was really happy in it! She's finally smiling again, and she's smiling a lot! Such a shame she'll be pissed in Barn Mates...
 
I think it's safe to say no one cares about Jasper. I laughed when she fell down that crack like a lump.
The Cluster part was so sweet, I genuinely smiled when it was shown bubbled at the end. Also kinda sad to see Peridot misses Homeworld a teensy bit.

sorry if anyone finds this thread to be cancer, I know the feeling :p

I'm so excited! Finally they're SPOILERS giving Lapis character development! She'll be very happy and playful in it, however in Barn Mates she'll be her old self again... :(
Also, if rumours are right, we'll actually see all of In Too Deep on Saturday, because Barn Mates and Hit The Diamond will release in France on this day.
I don't know if I should be happy for that, because the episodes will be in french, not english...
