I loved Spongebob growing up and when I see a rerun of an old episode I still laugh at it. Unfortunately after the movie, they hired a new director, and in my opinion, the show went to s***. Do you like the old Spongebob episodes, or the new ones?
Wacky said:The new seasons stinks. The characters are mainly Spongebob (who has the MOST annoying voice and acts like a baby) and Patrick (pretty much the unfunny dumbass in the show). Squidward, Plankton, and Mr. Krabs isn't far behind of popularity. Sandy and most of the other characters are pretty much overshadowed. The jokes aren't as funny as they used to be and they are getting dumber each episode.
That episode does have quite a few jokes that made me smirk, but not one where I would actually laugh at it.Spectre said:I can put a slight exception on the one where Squidward turned handsome but I don't even bother with Nickelodeon now.
Krusty Krab Training Video leaves me in stitches all the time. Also, the one where Spongebob thinks Mr. Krabs is a robot was funny.Aegis said:Agreeing to the fullest extent. The jokes are too stupid to laugh at and the acting is getting downright annoying while the storylines are just a mess. I thought Fear of a Krabby Patty was pretty much the start of the downfall and then Where's Gary? sealed it's fate. The only new episodes I thought gained any of the show's former glory were the one where Patrick swapped brains and became a genius, the episode that featured Spongebob, Patrick, Squidward, and Plankton in a band, and the episode Kingboo mentioned which was where Squidward turns handsome (which was pretty funny). It also doesn't help that Stephen Hillenburg, the driving force of the show, left the show around 2005 so the show is now in less competent hands. What are your favorite episodes, fellas? Besides the obvious choices of Band Geeks and Chocolate With Nuts, I liked Wet Paint and The Hash Slinging Slasher.
I thought the Training Video was the funniest one out of all of them. Squilliam Returns comes at a close second.Toadette said:Krusty Krab Training Video leaves me in stitches all the time.
