Sony and Microsoft Boards

[Chubbo1793]

I think there should be a Sony board and a Microsoft board to help produce more activity. I know this is a Mario Party Forum, but we need to get activity going around here because it's empty. This'll help us add more topics to talk about and make it more gamer-friendly.

For one thing, I'm not sure yet. But I think General Gaming is fine for now. I don't think they are needed unless anyone disagrees with me. We don't want too many boards at once, though.

We are in bad times without having much activity on the forum. If they are added, it'll encourage members to post in those boards. General gaming doesn't seem to have many Playstation or Xbox games in there and it would help the forum grow. That's my opinion, but we need traffic on this forum to get it going again. We have to try to see if these things will work. Also, don't those boards belong to the "Video Games" section. It wouldn't be right to not have those in the Video Games section because they are video games after all.

theres not much interest in microsoft and sony products on this site. If we get enough topics in general gaming we can get the boards but what use is there for 2 extra boards to just sit there with 3-4 topics?

It might help get traffic. It's only worth a try, you know how bad the lack of activity is around here.

I'm all up for these boards, it's just that, like TT said, we do not have the audeince for it right now. We do have a few members who will post and create topics but it's simply not enough members. It could help if guest sees the boards and wants to join but first we need some current member who will post and create topics.

As a quick count, how many of you would post in these boards if we had them (assuming you play these games)?

I know I would post in the Microsoft board but I can't see myself posting much in Sony.

And I also want to add that Aegis already suggested this.

I don't think anyone would join a Mario Party site just to talk about Sony and Microsoft... =/ But I don't think it's a bad idea, just not right now....

[Chubbo1793]

I would post in them since I own a 360, PS2, and a PSP. I just thought it could help since it's pretty quiet around here. I would talk about the Metal Gear Series and the Halo Series, since they are pretty big for those companies, along with Ratchet and Clank and Gears of War. We could have a Gears of War 3 topic in the E3 board. We can talk about Project Natal and PS3's wand in the E3 board. There is the Final Fantasy series that runs on the Playstation and Xbox that can be discussed, since that also is a big series that many people love. Fable could be discussed along with Fallout 3 (one of the best RPG imo), BK N&B, Forza Motorsports series, Splinter Cell series, Assassin's Creed series, and more. That would be a good start for now.

1 person isn't enough to discuss about these things. =/

[Chubbo1793]

I'm not the only kid who would discuss about it. I know everyone on this site doesn't just play Nintendo, we play all sorts of games. That's why we put these up to get everyone to post about them. I know I'm not the only one who likes these games since they've become big hits.

[SpiderStaryu]

Well, let's see what the other mods think. And as I said, so far your the only one who wants this. These games can be discussed in the General Gaming board, so until we get more Microsoft and Sony lovers, Then the boards can come. But right now, it's not really important. =/

[SuperZambezi]

Post all those topics now. The reason we would make the boards is if we had a ton of topics on the subjct but you would also need and ton of members responding and posting.

Like SZ said, post them. I'll be sure to ask a few questions in posts, so that it can help a bit. And hopefully get these topics past 15 replies.
