It has been confirmed due to SEGA being stupid and revealing toys for the game before even announcing it.

"Confirmed through a new round of toys at this year's Toy Fair, SEGA is indeed bring out Sonic and SEGA All-Stars Racing 2. No details on platforms for release just yet, but we do know that the new game will be out this holiday season. I'm guessing Nintendo platforms will definitely see some love."


I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS! I loved the heck out of the first one and 2 has a chance to have Miku in it.
 
Miku? W-w-what? Even if she were in it...she'd prolly only be in the Japanese version. :/ MAYBE.
 
Nah Miku has quite a large fanbase all over the world and she has had concerts here in America and that deal with Toyota and all that. I don't think Crypton would object to them using her since she can be used as a cash cow for both companies. Her Project Diva games are a huge hit and if nothing this would be a good way to introduce her to Americans who don't know her and get her a bigger audience since her english voice bank is coming out soon. Who knows maybe it will be used in the game when its translated to see how people react to her english voice.

Y'know how much I want that Hatsune Miku costume for Sophie on Graces? Yeah. It isn't going to come to NA. :/

If I recall correctly, Miku was in that Pangya! golf game...but only in the Japanese version.

Because she has her own insanely popular (almost as much as Sonic) game series on the PS3, Arcade, and PSP, and soon Vita created by SEGA. Miku is a SEGA mascot now.
