Sammer Guy Tournament

When you beat Super Paper Mario, you are allowed to go back to the Sammer Guy Tournament and battle the 100 Sammer Guys instead of the 26 (I think from memory) Sammer Guys you battle during Chapter 6.

I never bothered coming back here when I beat the game but I did enjoy it during Chapter 6. What are your thoughts about the Sammer Guy Tournament?

It's pretty tough, when you go into the later fights, like 51-100. The cards you receive are pretty neat, as well, that brought back memories.

No, they're from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Paper Mario partners were from the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials.

When you actually go back to Sammers Kingdom to face the Duel of 100, I'd suggest you are about midway through levelling up. That way you'll get a heal midway or so through the duel (I had mine just asI reached around 7-10HP, so the level up let me clear the rest with ease).

I would suggest Bowser (fire spam) + either Barry or Carrie for counters or safe jumping, even against 3D flipping Sammer Guys.

Yeah, saving helps here, though that's because it's in the chapter itself, unlike the pits, where they aren't. But leaving would mean you have to start from the beginning, so it's nice to save here, but only between chapter sections. There are no Save Blocks in Chapter 6.
 
This tournament was terrible.

I just used Bowser and used his flame attack on every one and it knocked them out. I had to do that 100 fucking times...
